stuart Posted January 3, 2009 Share Posted January 3, 2009 I have travelled from the Scotland to Florida 5 times in the past 2 yrs to see my girlfriend.I used to find it really difficult being apart,especially after our first few meetings as we just clicked big time...but as time goes by and the trust has grown etc I find it just a wee bit easier,although I do still have my bad days where I have to slap myself lol.She will hopefully be able to start visiting me this year though and then two trips each per year.Its not ideal but id rather have it this way until we can live together as not being with her at all....just one unrelated question while im on..What does SO mean on some of these posts?Im showing my age now huh!!! In this age of technology "shorthand" keeping track of acronyms has become almost an Olympic sport! "SO" means "Significant Other." If you're ever stumped again, you might want to check this out. So far it is every 3-4 months for an average of a couple weeks but I'm not sure if that will continue to be possible. I'm hoping to get a plan to see him around March. I flew to meet him in October, he flew to me in early December, and I am making plans to fly again in mid-Feb. So just about every other month is our face-to-face time.
