What to do-What to do-...I'm in a pickle.. my fiance asked me to marry him the same month we just started dating. He asked me in October of last year, and now it's Jan. and we planned to get married this month.. soo the real question is>..IS IT TO SOON??

 

Oh also...there is a chance coming up for him to move back to FL..

 

And a chance for me to move back to where I intended to move before I met him..(not in FL) ...

I asked him about a summer wedding he's up for the idea.. but long distance relationships don't really work.. (do they?) I guess if it's meant to be it will work out?? Even if we hold off on plans?

I'm confused. Have you always been in a long distance relationship? How/when did you meet? How much time have you spent together? Why do you want to get married? How do you know you love him if you say you barely know each other?

 

I need more information before I can say. But from the little I know it sounds very very soon.

In my opinion, this is absolutely definitely too soon.

There is a possibility that he either "loves too much" or is insecure and possessive.

Either way, there seem to be issues of self-esteem. (loving too much is compensation for not loving one's self enough.)

 

You need to discuss this.

Why it's so important to do this in a hurry....?

What does his family think?

How about yours?

Trust me, you dont love him(not that you dont like him) but why would you spend the rest of your life someone you barely know?

The modern trend is to spend time with the person you love for a lengthy amount of time. For some couples this is 3 months, for some it could be more than 3 years. The idea behind this is to really get to know the person and see if you can be compatable as a couple before you get hitched.
