Women's experience with men/boyfriends who are attracted to feet

I am wondering how accepted having a foot fetish (or just thinking feet are attractive) is with women. I am hearing/noticing that it is much more common than people admit. I am wondering if people have had good/bad experiences with men/boyfriends opening up about this, as I am probably about to have a big conversation with my girlfriend about it.

 

In my opinion, the term "fetish" makes it sound far more unusual/creepy than it is, as it seems like it's so common and no different than being attracted to the other things men are typically attracted to.
