LynnVeronica345
I seem to gain all weight in my stomach. I am not that overweight, maybe just a little, but it is all in my stomach. I look like I am 7 months pregnant, literally. My arms, thighs, hips and butt are all average or a little above average size, but my stomach is another story. I have a hard time finding jeans that will fit me in the waist. What can I do to get all the extra weight off my stomach? I am tired of people asking me when my baby is due and I am not even pregnant!
MercyRose
From my experience the only way to ever get rid of a stomach is through sit ups. Sorry
NEONINK
I hear ya.. Sit ups will help tone the muscle underlying the fat. That's great if the fat would go away, you'd have great abs then. However, situp will not rid you of that spot fat. I recently looked into lipo; hey I've done situp, abs class, I run 5K races and work out. Probably my diet could be better, but even then I've retained that extra fat in the lower belly. However, because I've had a kid and was older, he recommended a tummy tuck to take extra skin and tack up the muscle.... If you are ever interested in lipo, do it before you hit 40! Jez, I checked that out. They cut you from hip to hip; the scar is forever. No thanks! My daughter said, nobody would see it and I'd look great in clothes. I looked at her skinny little ass, and said "No thank you!". It's all her fault.... <kidding>

AvaClaire
I think it depends largely on your metabolism and body type. I can't tell you what will work for you, but I can tell you what has worked for me, and then you can try it if you wish. I try to walk or run at least a mile each day. Every other day I will try to run 2 miles. On the weekends, my sister and I like to go hiking/biking/swimming or some other activity like that. I try to lift weights 2 or 3 times a week and do 200 sit-ups before bed every night. That's basically the excersise I do to maintain my figure. Sit-ups have worked best for me on my abs. I just do them while watching t.v. or something that way it goes by faster.
Tony T
I once asked a lady friend of mine when her baby was due....she told me the baby had been born four months previous. I wanted to die. So it's not just you who's feeling bad!

luvmyboys
I would recommend going for a physical and just rule out anything like an ovarian cyst that could be hiding in there. They can get quite big. Also, you can always change the way you dress. There are plenty of clothes in larger sizes that will not make you look pregnant. I'd stay away from large baggy shirts and go for a more tailored look with vertical lines or styles.
travelin gal
I'm more interested in how you respond to these people who ask you when your baby is due. I had this happen to me right before I got married (I'm 5'8" 125 pounds, for the record). At a rather formal event, a woman said, "Ha ha, I see why you're getting married!" I looked at her, puzzled. "Well, either that or that dress is totally unflattering. Or have you been eating too much?" I continued to look at her strangely, as did my then-fiance. I honestly could not figure out what she was trying to say. Then she goes, "Well, you're pregnant, right?" She walked away laughing (!), but my evening was truly ruined. I wish I'd have had a snappy response like, "Well, maybe after you pull your foot out of your mouth, we can continue this conversation..." I personally will NEVER ask someone when their baby is due unless I know for sure they are pregnant.
