Larry King interviews religious leaders

You'd be better off starting your own because you don't seem to deal with differences of opinion or doctrine very well.

Cheers,

I'm curious, from a Catholic perspective. Assuming that his Universalist faith does not provide a valid baptism would the Church consider him a Christian?

I think so. I dont think one has to be baptized to be Christian, just as I don't think one has to be Christian to be Catholic

To be considered a Catholic, you would have to be baptised into the faith.

And you would certainly have to consider yourself a Christian if you were Roman Catholic.

As Catholicism sees itself as the one true faith, that would be a pre-requisite.

The Catholic faith would see a Universalist as a christian, but not a Christian.

God is in all my decisions. I pray before I make any decision. That included who I voted for and what purchases I make for my family, even about posting to your comments. I don't think I said anything about Christian dating sites( I don't care for any dating sites, Christian or otherwise). I didn't say God cared about the super bowl or any other entertainment. But God did say that fellowship with our fellow Christians builds a strong bond that allows us to meet each others needs. There are indeed organizations out there as you put it to met the needs of people. But God charged all Christians with the duty of taking care of our fellow man.(you know out brother's keeper). Why should an organization take care of one of our members in need? We are there with the resources, why shouldn't we provide transportation, entertainment, food, utilities, clothes, school supplies and scholarships for those in need.

And for the most part we actually enjoy each others company. Our fellowship is essential to carrying out some of the tenants of Christ. Together more needs can be met than one sitting somewhere criticizing those who actually go out into the community and do the work.

We are under grace. We don't have to do anything. I'm free to sit around and do nothing for the rest of my life and still get the same reward in heaven as the christians who are actively doing good works. I don't have to produce good works.

I know you probably don't like the idea of someone going to heaven for doing nothing but what if it's true? What can you do about it? You only want those in heaven who were actively doing good works.

Well I want everyone in heaven whether they do good works or not. Whether they care to know God or not. Whether they love Him, hate Him, indifferent to Him, don't believe He exists, etc. I believe it's going to happen. It must happen that way if it's true that we are saved by grace.

If grace is unmerited favor then it has to include even those who don't care to know God. The consuming fires of God's love can and will overcome even the most hardened human being on the face of the earth.

Trust me if I need any kind of help financial or otherwise the church will be the last place I go to. I don't trust their motivations for helping others in need. They would only help me because they hope I would convert to their doctrine.
