ladyday2u
Well here I am again. My divorce is final..I went to my hearing today. It lasted about 5 minutes....When it was over hubby gave me a big hug and kiss and told me to take care, I wished him the same. He says he will be moving back to St. Louis soon. Question. I fortgot to ask this in court.. things have changed since my friend got a divorce. The divorce decree we came in with and handed to the clerk, well she filed stamped it, the judge signed it and she gave it back to us. He said we are now divorced. Will we be getting a more complete version in the mail as to the child support payments ( the judge didnt say anything about child support in court, but he did ask is there a child involved and the work sheet was included with the decree) and a final divorce decree? 2SidestoStories
Based on your story to this point, I suppose it's okay to say "Congratulations on the finalization of your divorce!" As to your question, however, I haven't got an answer for you. Did you have a lawyer? If so he/she would be able to tell you. It strikes me as a bit odd that you got the divorce finalized but that you did not have your own copies of paperwork. I'd find out ASAP about the child support and such!
