Men stay attractive longer then women and Peek later in life

Recommended Posts

Theres a couple of twentysomething girls Id love to get with...omg....but I think theyd only see me as a daddy figure and theyd feel sick if I tried anything in any kind of serious way

and im in my mid 30's

But for older women its easy to get with young guys and the guys like it

Why is life so unfair

Funny you're a guy and you're saying the opposite of CLV. He lives in some strange world or hick town where he thinks young girls want someone old man. Even though young women on the forum have alerted him that its so not the case.

The correct term for those is "stupid people", if they really think that second marriages are statistically more likely to last. Maybe that's not what you mean by "successful"?

There is a 50% chance for first time marriages to end in divorce and an even higher percentage of divorce for second marriages.

You know very few married folks around your age? Where do you live?

Well, scientifically speaking if you want to have kids you really dont have your WHOLE life. Just saying.

I live in Washington, DC. Trust me, most folks my age in this area aren't married yet. I'm also in a sorority and most of my chapter are also unmarried. We have maybe out of 30 girls 7 married. We're all college educated women with great jobs. Some don't want to be married. Some don't want to have kids. Some do. Some opted to have children without marriage as they wanted to be mothers but not wives. Times have changed drastically. Many women are OPTING not to get married. ONe of the girls that opted to have a child without marriage (she was 31 and he was 26) was proposed to by him and she said NO.

SusyQ76, I urge you to re-read your posts before you hit the 'post reply' button. Im normally not a stickler for bad grammar but in more than one of your replies you have misplaced words or spelled something wrong.

In addition, your attitude sucks.

I notice that most of the women like YOU and the other 32 year old who is on her high horse about being post grad seem ridiculously bitter. Where do you get your information from? Women in their senior years are more social? I'd love to know what study you grabbed this from. This thread reeks of feminism just as bad male chauvenism. I can agree with both sides about your arguments but youre just spitting out complete bullshyt because you seem bitter towards the male gender.

Plenty of people are generalizing on this post but you are certainly one of the pathetic ones. Puke.

I have nothing to be bitter about. I've not been wronged by any man and I am HAPPILY in a committed relationship of 3+ years...So, no high horse. .Just confidence honey.

youd be surprised at how many men in their mid 20's (since you categorized your age range as late 20's - early 30's) wouldnt screw you because they think you are too old. You'd be very surprised.

BTW there are a lot of factors that go into the attractiveness/strength/overall health of an older human being. I know guys in their late 40's who are not only stronger than a 20 yo but could wipe the floor with their ass in a fight. Its amazing what a healthy diet and some mental and physical discipline can do for the body. And to be honest these same people can pass for a 20 something appearance wise.

I've NEVER in my life had a problem getting a man if anything it is the completely OPPOSITE. My sig. other and I broke up about 18 months ago for 2 months and I got back into the dating game. I literally had to keep a calendar to keep my dates straight and I was not putting out! Ha! I had a date with a different guy every day. Within 1 month 2 were talking marriage and another was using the L word. I've NEVER had problems getting a man nor keeping one. I'm 32 and can pass for 21. I have myself together and I don't need a man for my happiness.

Again, I DON'T WANT A 38+ man. PERIOD. I don't care if he has muscles like Arnold in his prime!

Read what I wrote one more time, maybe it will sink in. You aren't debunking anything. I said that it's amazing what a healthy diet and some mental and physical discipline can do for the body. That was the point I was making. I was also responding to the person who in the previous post talked about a 20 something man who can twirl a girl around while the 40 year old guy will struggle, or something to that same effect.

Her point wasn't about this point chris..it was about you stating a late 20s early 30s man may not screw me at 32. She was debunking your statement by saying most people can't look at a 32 year old and know they are 32 as most can easily pass for late 20s. So, you can easily pick up a 32 year old without even knowing it unless she's just an old looking 32.

This is a forum on the internet, not work therefore I don't have to re-read a thing. I'm typing fast and can careless if you can't understand my grammer. If you don't like my writing nor my grammar then simply stop reading my posts. It's pretty simple.

You must be an older man because you seem very offended that I said I don't like older men. It is a personal preference that I'm with someone MY AGE! That is my perogative.

Perhaps it's somewhat of a cruel irony that some of the very people who should be nurturing the next generation into existence are eschewing or foregoing that very act. Where does that leave our future? Oh, well, fodder for another thread.

I can't ever recall, when I was single anyway, and that was a long time (20+ years), meeting a woman who was truly single. Even my wife was dating a couple other guys when we met. So, that would support susyq76's experiences and perspective.

As an older man, I have noted of late that women pay more attention to me, for reasons as yet unknown. Not particularly wealthy, not particularly handsome, still a good listener. Maybe their priorities have changed, IDK. TBH, I hope, the day after I peak, I die. Life is about growth, IMO. :)

FYI I am younger than you... I have nothing against your preference in age. I too would not date a woman that much older than me. I just think some of the things you post are irritating and irrelevant.

That's great, so now not only do you consistently put down all the women on this board who don't fall into the early 20's and submissive category, but you also put down all those people who post on here that have been married a second time around.

Is there anyone in this world you like? When a person has so many problems with all the people around them it is a significant sign that they are projecting some deep feelings of inadequacy and self loathing. I wonder why you have such a low opinion of yourself and what really happened to you?

Ya, that's why I said it's stupid to claim second marriages are more likely to 'get it right'. If anything the reverse is true.

No, but it's idiotic to think a second marriage is more likely to 'get it right' since they are even MORE likely to fail. Actually divorce after 1st marriage is not as likely as it looks just looking at the overall stats due to serial divorcers.

Is there anyone in this world you like?

Almost everyone.

There you have it - some women simply get carried away by the window-shopping, and by the time they make up their mind, the store is closed. There is a clear gender difference here.

PS I'm still hoping for adoption :(

As per the last part of your post that I make you want to puke, maybe you are pregnant Chris boy? Seeing how emotional some of you boys are on this board I have to believe you are part woman.

Reading that an old man, to a young woman, is undersirable because he can barely function sexually speaking and he looks bad, should not make you sick. You should just accept that because that is how young women feel/think.

Take some Gravol, hope you feel better.

Unless the population of this board deviates significantly from the norm, they will actually join the rest of the population in proving me right.

Nope, like them fine. why do you assume malice where none exists?

Sam, I don't think this really proves your theory. He also said even his wife was dating others when they met. Again, my point is NOT that people (male or female) always have the same exact pool to date from. I agree that as you grow older MEN AND WOMEN have a smaller pool of eligible dates. That has always been my point. To say that just women have a smaller pool is just crazy. Both men and women have a smaller pool.

Additionally, to suggest this pool is small starting at late 20s early 30s is even more ridiculous. I'm 32 and the people at my job (50s and late 40s) call me the baby of the group. To suggest that a 32 or 35 year old women is a "hard sell" to a 50 year old is just dumb! i'm sure that most 50 year old men would be MORE than glad to date a hot 35 year old women. Shoot, I'm sure most 42 year old men would be more than fine dating a hot 35 year old women. People on this board are talking about 35 year old women as if they are 65. give me a break

I think it has to with a person's mentality and attitude man or woman. If you go through life's trials and become stronger it shows but if you let life beat you down it will not make you an appealing person. I am recently 30 and I am in better mental and physical shape than I have ever been. I was a complete mess at 21. Some women might become more appealing as they age but others just become bitter misandrists who only attract masochistic men who are a glutton for punishment. Any self respecting man stays away.

I just want to clarify that I have no opinion on the emotional impact of my experience, and am only sharing the realities of it. I came to expect that it would be a rare occurrence when a woman was single without a visible male on her event horizon. In a recent thread I posted about one of my wife's friends, who IMO would be quite a catch and has been lamenting about the lack of available and appropriate men for her. She's in her early 50's. So, without a large sample to go by, there's an exception to my prior experience :)

Yeah, an early 50s women may have a hard time finding a eligible bachelor that she WANTS to seriuosly date. Although I'm sure they are out there. I can see the drop in early 50s because by then most people are married and/or divorced. I guess my issue was people stating that a 35 year old would not have dating options. 35 is still VERY young. Shoot, at 35 you stil lhave 20+ years to work for petes sake.
