gd26
Being fat is no indication of a person's value, which is what you seem to think. Just because your ex has gotten fat, doesn't mean that she is worth any less as a person. I don't understand why anyone would be thrilled about their exes getting fat. Many people have gone through such phases in their lives.

Many people have gone through such phases in their lives. Just because you arn't less of a person doesn't mean it isn't better to be fit... It's a more healthy lifestyle and a small 1up. While being fit has a lot of advantages, I'm not sure being fat has any real ones other than keeping warm. Well done

D-Lish
My ex H didn't get fat... but the woman he cheated on me with, got pregnant and was forced to marry, got fat.... does that count? He likes slim girls.
Melovator
I lost a lot of weight after splitting with my ex, as in I went from obese to small. (I do love exercise these days!) My ex and his girlfriend have both had significant weight gain, I know its wrong of me to find joy in this but I do. Mostly because the girlfriend once described me as a "dumb, fat bitch." Trialbyfire
kdark, I've never wished fatness on any of my exes but once in awhile, particularly immediately post-split, I haven't always wished them well, particularly the ex-H. After awhile, it's all moot, especially after you meet someone special.

People either don't know the meaning of the word anymore or they put too many people in that catagory. There has GOT to be a reason for why we can't give unconditional love anymore. The reason is that in todays day and age with all the social networking sites and mobile phones etc. . . its to easy for people to find/be tempted by a better option, a lot of people are material and oppotunistic now days. This is my take on thing anyway. You only have to open your eyes and see what goes on. If you have an amazing looking girl, you can guarantee that she has numerous options open to her all the time, so if you are her current guy and you aren't making her happy she will just move on to the next one in line. Justanotherschmuck
crossfit.com Oh yeah. Crossfit is unreal. A crossfitters are a little out there, the "coach" is almost a cult leader, and injurys are pretty common, BUT, if you DON'T get injured, are smart in how you preform the WOD's, you WILL get in the greatest ALL AROUND shape you will ever be. BUT, to says its TOUGH is understatment. It's not for EVERYONE, thats for sure. COme to think of it, its only for around 2-3% of the population, IF that. But the concept and the results are impressive. THe thought behind it is right on. Watch some of the videos. There are some UNREAL in shape people doing some pretty impressive things. I don't believe in soul mates or that there's only "one" for each person. I also don't believe in unconditional love. As people get older, dating and having more relationships, they learn the difference between their needs and wants, thus willing to put more energy towards people who meet their needs. If you're lucky, you'll find someone who not only meets your needs but also, meets most of your wants, major chemistry inclusive.

I KNOW unconditional love exists, becuase I have it. So I know it exists. No arguement. But, I will admit its extremely rare. Almost non existant.

But, I will admit its extremely rare. Almost non existant. Surprisingly, I'm far from cynical. As it stands, I'm in love with and am engaged to, in my eyes, a wonderful man. I've also fallen in love more than once, each time in a different way. I'm 34 years old, so that might be the difference. I don't know how old you are but I'm guessing in your twenties. I could easily be wrong though.

I could easily be wrong though. 49 really. Believe me, if there is no UNCONDITIONAL love, there is NO CHANCE. Humans are too selfish, and insecure. This causes them to make mistakes. If the other spouse has a scoreboard, its over. AND based on statistics, websites and threads even on this one, scoreboards are the way todays men and women (sorry, especially woman) seem to base the statis of their marriage. You have to love your husband (AND VICE VERSA) like you love your parents or children. Sure, get mad at them, agrue with them, but at the end of the day, realize that THEY are your family, and REGARDLESS what society says, morally that can't be changed. Its tough I know, but you know the saying about things worthwile. Its funny you thought I was younger. I'm about to fall prey to a walkaway wife (after 30 years). Shocked, frustrated, scared, and confused. Thats AN AWFUL way to hit 50. I'm glad you feel that way about your husband. I always shed a bit of a tear when I see a married older couple holding hands and helping each other. You can bet BOTH made mistakes, BOTH got mad plenty. BOTH questioned their relationship. And NEITHER carried a scorecard. Now, they are both reaping the benefits of keeping their vows and gutting out the hard times.
