yongyong
first of all, I don't mind talking to women at the bar or club. it doesn't really draw big attention since that's what the place is for and it's hard for other people to hear the conversation anyways. However if I talk to a stranger at the coffee shop, it will draw attention and they can hear the conversation as well. So when you know people are paying attention to the situation, does it make you more nervous to talk to the guy or do you get flattered? obviously I am not talking about 40 year old guy trying to pick up 20 year old girl in public place. I am as young as her and as dressed nice as her.
thegoodlife
Is the girl by herself or with a group of friends? I personally never really go to coffee shops by myself, it's always with a friend when we want to sit down and have a talk. I think it's mostly circumstantial and different for each girl. I could see myself getting sort of awkward if I was approached at a coffee shop unexpectedly. But on the other hand I could also see myself being flattered and actually pleased that a man had the guts to approach me. It all depends on the situation, who I'm with, how I'm approached and things like that.
