waiting for him to propose

So I need some help on distractions. My boyfriend is going to propose, he showed me a picture of the ring and said "in the next few months" but he wants to wait until I stop thinking about it so much so it'll be more of a surprise. The problem is, I can't stop thinking about it! Any suggestions on things I can do so stop thinking about it without making him think I'm not interested?

I wouldn't worry too much about making him think you're not interested.

 

In my experience, the less you honestly want marriage, the more men want marriage. For the life of me, I'll never understand this!

If he wanted it to be a surprise, why did he tell you? Rofl, he sounds like my bf: he gets so excited over things that he can't resist telling me, even if it spoils the surprise

 

Pacify yourself by secretly looking at wedding dresses and bouquets etc online, just don't mention it to him

haha, he probably just got too excited and i had been having a bad day and he wanted to cheer me up. hmm, so the less I talk about it the more he'll want it. I'll give that one a try

I was in your situation..it sucks. Best advice I can give you is that if he says he is going to do it in the next couple months make peace with that and relax. It's true what a few others have said that the less you talk about it the more he will. Guys tend to do that. It's okay to think about it (I sure do!) but try not to drive yourself nuts. And just don't let him know you are constantly thinking about it/obsessing about it. Since I stopped doing that my bf has seen such a change in me/our relationship and actually brings it up all the time now (more often that I do!)
