now that i have a "safe place" to pour my heart out to

Recommended Posts

Hi,

My name is Autumnlover. I am 24 years old and about to get married in less than a year. I recently posted in a forum entilted "help" well thanks to those of you who did help, my problem is well on its way to being better.

Now, i need help with me. I was always had thingfs handed to me on a silver platter. I want to be happy and I am letting go of my horrible past. I am letting go of the abusive aspects on it. I want to let it go. I want to be able to not think about it and trust again. Is there anyone who knows any sayings that i can learn or tips on how to keep up with this for ever???

Any help would be helpful!!

Thanks

Well Cindy,

At the young age of 2, my mother dicided that she didnt want to be a mother to me. SHe left with her "boyfriend" and left me with my father. My dad raised me and I give him lots of credit and i dont think he did too bad either ;)

I was abused mentally and sexually since i was 7. (the sexual abuse stopped at 7 as well) I was always told to "put it in the back of your head". That is the worst thing a parent can say to a child. They dont learn how to cope with things.

I need help with respecting others and not getting as angry. Not worring and not going into a panic. I want to learn how to love more and hate less. There was a poem i saw today. SOmething about teddybears and loving like one. IT was real cute and true. I want to find it and write it down and carry it around as a reminder for me.

Does that help you any???

I am so sorry to hear about the things that happened to you as a child. Nobody should ever have to go through something like that. And you're right, it's not something you can put in the back of your mind and forget about. It has to be dealt with. Have you had any sort of counseling at all to help you deal with this?

Sometimes talking about things helps a lot. Once you realize that you can trust people enough to talk to them about personal issues and that there are people out there who care and accept you no matter what, it will go a long way towards helping you to trust and let people get close to you.
