But what I have real need of is a person in my area to talk to and help start me on this path; I live in the south of Texas. taiko Posted April 10, 2009 Share Posted April 10, 2009 Try the phone book or online for the local Islamic Center or mosque. Stay away from the cultish groups like the Nation of Islam at first. If that's the path you take you might get there if the Sunnis or Shia don't work for you, I just wouldn't start there. Link to post Share on other sites

Islam is a religion of peace and i would like you to visit this site http://www.iec-houston.org/ to get some help from your local Community. There are alot of online resources you can get information about but its best to seek information from one to one at a Mosque with the Imam. I hope to hear from you.
