Eve
Touche I am praying that your Hubbies body will heal itself now.. Incidently I ran into someone today (twice actually) who was telling me about his recent heart attack and I thought immediatley about you and yours. He looked bloody marvelous considering what he had just been through. On the second time I bumped into him his partner was with him (.. they are like love birds of the century).. The strain was evident but the love between them was simply amazing. I joked that it was all a ploy to get out of doing the dishes.. In total, the dark moments have elements of light too. Enjoy each other. Really feel for you and it is my prayer that your Hubbies body will heal itself. Take care, Eve xx
Touche
Carhill, thanks. And yes, I did post my first vent and horrible, horrible experience vis a vis the hospital. What's so weird is that this is one of the top hospitals in the country. Thank you so much Eve. Yes, you're so right. And you made me laugh with the ploy... We've been teasing each other about that. We went to the grocery store earlier and he sat in the car reading the paper, while I unloaded all the groceries into the car. I told him people were looking at us funny while he sat there and his "little woman" was unloading the groceries..what must they be thinking? I told him to enjoy it while it lasted! Thank you for your prayers, Eve. I love your words of wisdom and I appreciate all that you had to say. Thank you, dear.
Star Gazer
In light of T's recent experiences, I think it would be a great idea for everyone to post another thing that they APPRECIATE about their partner.

I love the way my H surprises me with a creme egg . Apologies to those out of the UK who may not know what I am talking about but it is a little bit of chocolate heaven

I appreciate that my husband always has faith in me and in us. That has been quite a feat over the years.

sunshinegirl
What I love about my partner is his silent, yet constant, companionship. I love how he curls himself around me at night and is always, always glad to see me when I walk through the door. I couldn't imagine more unconditional love. Oh wait, that's my cat. I've enjoyed reading this thread because it makes me happy that it didn't work out with my ex, who would never have done 90% of the things people have described here. I get to look forward to finding the guy who will, instead of feeling more and more stuck in a dead-end relationship with a completely emotionally disconnected man.
Touche
Gosh, why can't I stop crying? Thanks, IG. Your posts touched me. Jake and Sunshine please don't give up. It will happen for you. It will. Hang in there guys. As far as what I appreciate about my guy..wow, right now I just appreciate the fact that he's ALIVE and himself again!

Ariadne
And I know in my heart that if anything, God forbid, ever happened to him, I'd be alone the rest of my life. There's no way I could ever have "lightening strike me" more than once in this lifetime. No way, would I ever be this lucky again. Awww.... That almost made me cry. God blessed you Touche. Ariadne
He helped build my dads personalised casket, and looked after my confused grandmother at the funeral. He helped us so much around that time. Oh, no! I'm so very sorry to hear about your dad SB! A million hugs xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo And I'm so glad you were there in NZ, spending the last days with him and that he got to see your wedding and to see you so very happy! I wish you all the happiness in the world SB.
Ariadne
I love the laugh lines on his face, when he smiles or laughs. The ends of his eyes crinkle up in such a cute way. you reminded me of a pair of jeans that he wears. They sit on his hips, so that the top of his sex lines (lines along his hipbones) show The tip of my fingers only reached the top joint of his and my palm was much, much smaller than his. Sigh... the love. Well, good luck TBF with your impending wedding as well. (Crossing fingers, that is if they are still together).
Author Trialbyfire
I love the way he's protective, even though I don't need him to be. It's nice to know that he's there for me.
melodymatters
I have no inside info, but I am SURE they are still together ! Ok, here's another little love tidbit: We went to the beach the other day, and apparently it was some big college weekend. EVERYONE was probably 18-22. Now I'm slender and in shape, but I am still aware that In am 42. So I lay down on my towel and my H is still just sitting up and staring at me. I'm like " what ?" and he says softly, with a little smile on his face " You are just so pretty, I can't stop looking at you" I said " aw, thanks hon, especially considering the fact that we are surrounded by college girls" His reply ? " what college girls ?" The man is either the sweetest thing on earth or blind, he says things like this when i just wake up with bed head and sleep crusted eyes !

I am "tough landlord biotch" and I had to evict a tenant. The guy comes out side his apartment and starts yelling at me. I totally wasn't afraid and could have handled the creep myself, but my husband was NOT going to have some asswipe yell at his wife ! He got right in between us and shut him down QUICKLY ! We were at a restaurant and for some reason, the bimbette of a waitress immediately copped an attitude with me and was sweeter than honey, with him. After one of her remarks, he just gave her a disgusted look and said "cut the attitude", which shut her down right away.
allina
I love my SO for loving my family. He went out with us for mother's day and even recommended a great restaurant in a part of the city he knows very well. It was the perfect day with the people I love most, I couldn't have been happier. He's also my rock and someone who can always make me smile. I came home from work exhausted, stressed and on the verge of tears last week. When I plopped down on the floor he came to lay down beside me, kissed me and made me laugh. Having him by my side made a world of difference.
