Anyone Here, Happy in their Relationship?

Recommended Posts

I honestly don't think I could ever be happier with anyone else. My girlfriend and I only talked a few times before I asked her out but we clicked in a way I can't describe. It's been 4 months now and it's a truly incredible feeling having someone that will put a massive smile on my face no matter what mood I'm :)

Happy? Count me in

Happy here, too, TBF!!

And even being together as long as we have still hasn’t diminished anything for us.

Name one silly thing you adore about your man.

Everything about him is “silly”. Without his humor my little corner of the world would be a dull and depressing place indeed. He has a way of taking the edge off of all the serious things that are going on with both our families these days.

I especially adore all the little things he does to show he cares. Like when he comes in from his woodshop with little presents that he’s made me... or the flowers he grabbed from the produce section while running an errand at the grocery store.

It’s those little things that melt the heart and sure do mean a lot!

One thing I love about my guy is how kind he is to my TEENAGE daughter, he's never lost his temper once and most men would have killed the child !

THAT is my sister's husband, who came into the family when my nephew was 14 and my niece was 12 – he'd never had children of his own, but treated those two with a lot of respect, patience and love, and I think that's what completely sold my sister on him. You've got to admire a man who will stand by and do right by children he didn't father but loves as his very own!

Like when he comes in from his "wood" shop with little presents that he’s made me

oh, the images going through my mind, dear!:laugh::laugh:

those unexpected things (roses from our garden) definitely add to the sparks of happiness in a relationship, don't they?

Even when I was cynical, I always loved to read the happy threads on LS. Now that I'm one of the reformed, it's even more fun to read about how people appreciate each other!

I think it was sb, who called me an M&M, a long time ago. Hard candy coating on the outside, soft, mooshy chocolate on the inside.

Debatable! :p

Thanks to everyone who's already shared their happiness. If there's anyone else who's happy with their relationship, PLEASE share! :bunny:

Reading this thread makes me feel sick lol

I can never imagine being able to participate in this thread! I can never imagine a guy who makes me feel the way some of you feel! I am so anti men that I can't stand it and hate myself for it!

To me, men are there to make us miserable ... I know deep down it is not true and it is possible to find a goodun' ..... I just never have!

This thread makes me sick but also gives me a small amount of hope that maybe one day I will find a guy who does not abuse, cheat, lie, hold secrets etc

I am genuinely pleased for everyone who is happy though!

Bahhhhhh humbugggggggg!!!!!!!!

It will happen for you. It's a matter of time, place, the right person and the right mindset. For all you've been through, you deserve someone worthwhile.

((hugs))

2sure, that's a lovely way to put it..."US". :)

I am very happy in my relationship.

My boyfriend is so sweet. The other day I had a sore eye and he made me dinner, cleaned up afterwards, put hot teabags on to my eye and even stayed up late even though he had to wake up early so I could get some rest without hearing him snore.

I love how optimistic he is and how he can always make me laugh. I love how cute he is when he is trying to impress me or when he gets excited about cooking something. I love how he is my best friend and I can share absolutely anything with him and that I can trust him completely.

Star Gazer, my boyfriend does the same with always grabbing my butt and he tells me to spray his pillow with perfume when i leave so he can smell me at night.

Very happy in my situation. I've been walking around humming that song "Halo"; not even sure who does it.

Every now and then it hits me that this amazing guy totally immersed himself in my life while making room for me in his. Baggage, past, package deal or whatever you want to call it........we've become a matching set.

I must admit it is sort of heartening to read women on here who actually appreciate when a man is good to them. Sometimes it feels that all women in relationships resent the hell out of their men and would cheat at the drop of a dime becuase they are not happy. It really does make me feel good to read some of these posts because sometimes it seems that women like this don't even exist.

SIGH.

Sally4Sara, I've been singing Halo 24/7 too! It's so perfect for my man :)

Yesterday was my birthday and he was so perfect yesterday, making sure the dinner party for all my friends went well, showering me with kisses and even picked up the tab for everyone!

The one thing that makes me  the most is that he doesn't believe that the so-called Honeymoon period ever ends, he thinks that those little things that took place when we first met till we fell in love should be a part of our relationship reguarly. I am spoiled :bunny:

Love this thread and all the mushy anecdotes :)

wogs, you've got to keep in perspective the fact that while there are some deeply unhappy women out there who are only capable of spreading their poison, there are many other good, decent women who are capable of sharing *good* things in a relationship. It's very possible that because you've been burned, you notice the former rather than the latter, and that's okay. Just don't give up on the thought that the latter exist!

just like there are some really good guys out there, and that they're not all jerks.

Anyone else here, who's happy in their relationship or marriage, who loves, trusts and respects their partner? Who knows that their partner reciprocates all of this and is committed enough not to cheat?

Count me in as one of these people!

I'm happy for you, that's awesome! So, is this the guy that helped you get your car unstuck this past winter?

I know a few women like this... glad my sister is one of them. She went out with a few jerks back in the day but married a really great guy who treats her AND my mother extremely well.

I liked him the moment I met him back in the day.

I love my boyfriend. He is the best, too. :)

I love it how I'll say something completely stupid and for whatever reason it will strike him as funny--he just laughs and laughs. I like it when he laughs like that, a real, deep, laugh. It makes me laugh too.

There's plenty of other things I could say but we are most definitely happy.

I'm not normally big on shoulder massages from SOs because men tend to be a little too harsh. Now I have to eat my statement since receiving one this past weekend from my man.

I was working on a project that was duller than dishwater. There was a part of it that was frustrating, which was probably due to my headache. He gave me the most gentle massage, not to soft, not too hard, with those big, strong hands. I almost fell asleep.;)
