Jersey Shortie
Wow, I think this is called BEING INSECURE AS HELL! If you want to feel powerful then be powerful, don't look to a woman to make you feel that way. Gawd! these American men! I got to agree. Men want to be pack leaders... it is a biological drive. I would not call it insecurity. It's just like your biological clock. Biological clock and biological drive, two different things. women also have biological drives that have nothing to do with babies and children. If a man wants to be a pack leader, then he needs to look within himself as a man. No woman can make a man more masculine or more of a "pack leader". Why woulld a man seek out these mascunlity qualities in a female form? While a woman can envoke certain emotions in a man, I think you might be confusing those emotional highs with how a man really does become a pack leader. And that's through his actions and eample he sets. Also, there are plenty of American girls who go out of the country to just have a good time and become victims of the slutty stereotype. Natalee Holloway is perhaps a good example of that. So, I guess it works out until somebody winds up dead. I find this to be an atrociously arrogant comment to make. You might as well say you think the girl deserve what she got. Are you trying to scare American women into not doing the very thing you are encouraging American men to do? On the story of one young 18 year old woman? Unless you know what happened to Natalie Halloway and what really happened, the audacity to use this as an example is arrogant. OJ Simpson killed his wife..I guess all women that marry African American men might die...or who is that old cop in the news recently that he killed like 3 wives? I guess all old white guys might off their wives...:/ Geez. Everyone should stay locked up and NEVER go out. At least we will die out and finally give the earth a much deserved vacation. That's not true. Even if every American man was some kind of Stepford Husband... there should still be an empowerment movement. It's about providing women with self esteem and rights. I agree. I think there needed to be a movement. If you take a second to think about what I am saying it should make a ton of sense as to why this thread even exists. Because the lie and share of American women come from a culture where they have rights and some power, Men who don't feel all that powerful will naturally feel bitter about it. And I think that's very much relfected through pornography. All the men are powerful and dominate over the women, often in times being pretty deameaning to women. On a personal level, I have some gripes... but they have to do with our Culture as a whole, not so much American women in general. Us women feel the same way you know. donnamaybe
Not to rain in your parade, but it works both ways. "Guys don't like me because I'm empowered and they can't handle me. Right? RIGHT?" Did s4s ever create a thread like that? I must've missed it.

Hi.P.O'Crit
...No woman can make a man more masculine... While a woman can envoke certain emotions in a man, I think you might be confusing those emotional highs ... And that's through his actions and eample he sets. Replace man for woman and masculine for feminine and this statement would still be true.

donnamaybe
Sometimes the best defense is to say nothing at all when the statement is so ludicrous... Yeah, you have a point. And it IS Friday - before a three day weekend - and the weather is FANTASTIC - at least in MY little part of the world.
Hi.P.O'Crit
THIS thread started with one {insert appropriate terminology here} insulting the entire female population of the US in most derogatory terms. We're simply trying to defend ourselves. I don't disagree. But some, not all, responses have been more retaliatory than defensive. The only thing that I've experienced when meeting someone foreign, whether to my area or country, is that often both tend to be more open of each other's differences. It's a shame some can't apply that same behavior to people from their own area.

You'reasian
...is funny $h1+. You tell me I'm bitter but I hate to tell you, you come off bitter. You're arguing for the sake of arguing now. And yes, I can be bitter but don't sit there and act like you and the guys posting here aren't themselves. You are ridiculously bitter..but your bitter is okay right? Your struggles with the other gender are *more* important, hurt more, qualify more...right? I'm actually blessed to have a few wonderful women in my life whom I've met through chance meetings as well as from my own activities/interests/education. how great is that? What do I admire about them? Their desire to improve themselves inside and out, their ability to understand, to be sensible and the fact that they chose to be involved in my life - who knows? one of them might become a more permanent fixture in my life if things continue just the way they are. Jersey Shortie
You're arguing for the sake of arguing now. I am pointing out the hipcrosy in your statement. I just think you should evaluate your comments before you throw stones. I'm actually blessed to have a few wonderful women in my life whom I've met through chance meetings as well as from my own activities/interests/education. That's great. I hope it works out with one of them but it doesn't change the previous statements you've made about women.

You'reasian
I am pointing out the hipcrosy in your statement. I just think you should evaluate your comments before you throw stones. You could be a very kind, wonderful, fun and highly attractive person and partner but you're fed up with guys not manning up and asking you out. I would offer to help with a male perspective (but you don't need it) and seem to be ok with guys continuing with the same behavior - gaming online, looking at porn instead of being real men and approaching you (or your lady friends) and taking you out on real dates. And chosing to go out with women from other cultures/countries rather than from available, loveable women here like yourself.
Jersey Shortie
I'm confused by your whole post. And I don't have any issues with men dating women from other cultures or countries. If you read any of my posts you would've known that. Are you high?

You'reasian
And I don't have any issues with men dating women from other cultures or countries. You do. Otherwise you wouldn't have spent so much typing a response to the OP in this post. http://www.loveshack.org/forums/showpost.php?p=2146063&postcount=10 It almost seems like you even downplay American women as well. Jersey Shortie
Hell You'Reasin, if anything, that link you posted proves that I don't have an issue with American men dating women from other countries. My issue is with the nasty comments made by many *American* guys here about *American* women. And the whining about how hard dating is when the truth is it isn't easy for anyone. But alot of you guys here don't want to listen to that because godforbid you show some compassion for the oppsite sex. By the way, sometimes I use this little thing called "sarcasm" when I post. If you can't tell what part of my post uses "sarcasm", I'll be happy to explain. And lastly, there is also this little thing called "projection". I think it's you who likes me. Getting dates isn't difficult. Getting great dates takes a little work and a whole lot of luck. By the way, sometimes I use this little thing called "sarcasm" when I post. If you can't tell what part of my post uses "sarcasm", I'll be happy to explain. And lastly, there is also this little thing called "projection". I think it's you who likes me. I'm not so concerned about your use of sarcasm, its the damn use of "sarcasm" - can't stand the improper quotation marks - even worse if you try to use them with hand gestures, which I'm sure you do. Please. If I was projecting, it would be that you have the body of a gorgeous female triathlete, slight curves where they need to be, beautiful medium length hair, stunning eyes, luscious lips. but the only thing I've gauged thus far is.... you've got a great personality
