justin180
What do you think heaven will be like? Do you think there will be a need for school or a need to get a job & earn a living? What will we be doing? Will we be able to fly and walk through walls? Will there be a need for any boot camp or military training?
TaraMaiden
Hell and heaven are existing simultaneously, as we live. They're illusory states of mind. But if you insist that it must be 'some other place'... the only option you have is to wait and see. Those wanting to go there, can't know, and those who are there, can't tell. _/l\_

LucreziaBorgia
I don't think of the afterlife as a punishment/reward system - more of a different dimension altogether that you eventually arrive at after you dump the baggage of your living years (a purgatory of sorts, I guess). I tend to think of What Dreams May Come when I think of the afterlife. On the other hand, my skeptic brain tells me that death is simply the end. Its funny - the finite quality of death is as hard to comprehend as the infinite quality of our ideas of an afterlife. I don't think the human ego can handle the idea that death is a simple end with nothing else, and tends to think more in terms of the consciousness continuing after the body dies. Author justin180
I'm not interested in experiencing heaven in this life. This life is the only chance I have to be miserable so I might as well make the most of it. I'm waiting until after I die to be happy. I have only 80 years left to be miserable! TaraMaiden
That's wonderful Chris! It sounds like a fantastic idea to me! I wish you much misery until such time as you choose to different! *thumb up!* LucreziaBorgia, are you saying that you think/agree there will be a stream of consciousness continuing after death, or that people think it but you do not agree/ I am not attempting to argue or discuss. I merely was not certain of the inference of your post, that was all. _/l\_ *Hands-palms-together*
quankanne
heaven is basically going to be a lovefest between me and The Big Guy ...
Eve
I tend to think of What Dreams May Come when I think of the afterlife. Good film. Some have been caught up in a blessing whereby they have had a vision of heaven and say its pretty beautiful.. eternally so. The witness story I know off explained that everything there was alive in a vibrating sort of way, including the very fabric of the place and all of the colours too. Interestingly there was a song as well, more beautiful than one can explain which filled the place. Take care, Eve xx

disgracian
There shall, in that time, be rumours of things going astray, and there shall be a great confusion as to where things really are, and nobody will really know where lieth those little things with the sort of raffia work base that has an attachment. At this time, a friend shall lose his friend's hammer and the young shall not know where lieth the things possessed by their fathers that their fathers put there only just the night before, about eight o'clock...
