UCFKevin
I'm noticing that lots of breakups and breaks occuring with people on this board are happening at the two year to two and a half year point in their relationship. Anyone else notice this? I find it pretty interesting. Is that a standard amount of time for a person to start thinking and feeling differently? I mean, obviously, there's no real standard, but it seems to happen a LOT. My girlfriend and I were almost to the 2.5 year point. Time flies.
jalexy
me and my ex broke up at the 2 year mark- mainly because i couldnt lie to myself anymore or take his absolute crap anymore. I finally just said hey, this isnt going to work anymore, no more lying. I lied to myself about it for about a year and a half of that relationship. i wonder if others have done the same......if that could be a reason as to why...

Lil Lola
At that time it is common to think, for females especially, that the relationship has stalled. Either a bigger commitment is necessary, like engagement, or a breakup. It may be a good thing but not necessarily marriage worthy.
