marry for passion or comfort?

Recommended Posts

hi everyone...just out of curiosity, what do you all think of this....

what do you guys think? marry for love and passion, or marry for security and comfort?..... i wish i could have both, but i don't think it's possible to find in one person....not for me at least.

i think ur wedding day should be one of the happiest days of ur life. they say that "a good beginning is half the battle". good luck.

i guess our grandmothers/mothers are from the same generation?

my grandmother told me before i married my dh, that i should marry someone that loves ME more than i love HIM....

so i did...i adored him and even loved him..but i knew he loved me more...

what my grandmother did NOT tell me, is that in the end (yes THE END after 13 years)that i would love my husband more than he loves me...and we are now separated...."he needs to find himself".

so, maybe we should all listen to our OWN inside mechanisms of love and such...i am now about as heart broken and just BROKEN as anyone can ever be...the pain is off the charts, and to hear him say, 'i will always love you, but not that way...anymore"...omg...just typing it makes my stomach turn into knots:(

what happened?:o

Wow... I am so sorry for you dela!

To the OP, GL in breaking the news to your family and friends. Do what is right for you, no matter what anyone else WANTS you to do or SUGGESTS you do. Either way, life and marriage is very difficult work and I wish you the best of luck.

Don't worry about it! Marry for passion and love. You can be sure that, with the years, it will turn into a marriage of security and comfort, espcially if you have children... an old cynic I am... :)
