Author Teacher's Pet
From the sounds of this chick's "lifestyle" (no pun intended).... I highly doubt that you would be drinking coffee. True..... But I'd need a pick-me-up for the ride home. I'd be.....a little tired. Actually, she lives at home, so if I went down there.... *shrugs* It WOULD be about coffee. -TP not that coffee is a bad thing

AriaIncognito
I say you just need to ask her to marry you.. NOW... Do it TP.. Ask her to be your wife.. Do it before the weekend is up, you don't want to waste one more second before getting on with the rest of your lives together... AC - you are forgetting, he already did that, and she broke it off....
AriaIncognito
-TP in control Just to state the obvious, you cannot be 100% in control over anyone but yourself. You can't control what anyone else will do to you. Therefore, in terms of relationships, one is never really in "control".
amaysngrace
He does like her a lot. And the reason that I know this is because he told me. It wasn't that very long ago TP and I spoke on the phone and he poured his heart out about her some years later. She left him hanging. And he had no closure. Maybe having her in his life will bring him happiness (what I really hope) and if not maybe this time he can get closure. Either way TP I'm routing for you.

Touche
Did the teacher cheat on you? Did she meet her ex, have relations with him, and then dumped you? That's not just a pretty shixx thing to do, but it also speaks loudly of her character. Can you really get over that? uhm...did you read the whole thread? Just wondering.... CaliGuy
Nope, they don't change. Yep, I thought he was a totally different person...what a fool. Nope, they never do change. "We" will hold on, hoping they have changed, but people are who they are. It's very rare that a complete transformation takes place. It may happen, but I think it occurs as often as a poor, broke rancher winning a 250MM lottery -- alone. For women it's best to read "10 Stupid Things Women do to Mess up Their Lives" (Dr Laura). It explains in detail why you shouldn't waste your time on men who will never change. Men do the same thing, though I think "No More Mr. Nice Guy" (Glover) covers most of it. Basically, if you respect yourself, you'll walk away (and stay away) when you're not getting what you feel you should in a relationship.
