Besides asking about each others day we don't have that much to talk about, although i love hearing his voice and even online I love seeing what he'll say next. We started out as friends and during winter break we talked online, asking interesting, fun, and even personal questions to get to know each other better. We started hanging out as friends when we got back to school, and started dating with about 2 months left to school. I'm running out of questions. I want to keep things fun and interesting while were apart now, like the exhilarating conversations we had as almost strangers during winter break. We we ask stuff like "tell me something i dont know about you" or "what is your favorite sex position?" or "what was your favorite tv show as a kid?" We end up talking about anything and everything. And to tell you the truth I am so happy to hear him he could read me the phone book and I'd listen! LOL Maybe instead of keeping the pressure on to explore new and different things you could get out and do new things and talk about them - and just have normal conversations like you would with any good friend. dunstable Posted May 22, 2009 Share Posted May 22, 2009 I've been in a LDR for 8 years. We speak on the phone twice a day. We get to see each other for about a week every couple of months. In our phone calls, we ask how the other is and about their day. We talk about our work, our gardens, our respective children, my cat, our social activities, what we enjoyed on TV.... As we are in different countries, we also compare notes on the weather, what's happening in politics, the economy, and what's in the news. We talk about our plans for our next meeting especially as the time for it gets closer. We tell each other how much we love each other and how much we miss each other. It's never a problem to find stuff to talk about. A thought - if you have not enough to say to fill a phone conversation, could you cope with being together all the time?
