buckinoff69 Posted May 18, 2009 Share Posted May 18, 2009 hello all, i am new to this site so i am not sure where to post this. anyway the problem i need help with is my wife left me and our 3 kids a few days ago after 16 years, said she is unhappy and not in love with me anymore, she has done this a few diffrent times but this time i dont think she will come back.i am tired of hurting every time she does this and every time i have too change. i cant change anymore. i thaught we had a good thing, the only thing we fight about is money.money is short times are hard deal with it.the question i have is about the kids 10 13 & 17, how do i go about getting custody of them(where to go or call). she still picks them up every day and spends time with them and i will never stop that, we both love our kids alot. any advice would be helpfull Link to post Share on other sites
Cuppie_Cake Posted May 18, 2009 Share Posted May 18, 2009 has your wife gotten a new house/apt?? If so how far is it from the childrens school? Is she going to fight you on custody of the kids? If they went to live with their mom would the have to change schools? Also what state are you in? Some states have self help websites, with DIY divorces and custody if you and your wife are in agreement. If not you will need to hire an attorney. Link to post Share on other sites
Author buckinoff69 Posted May 18, 2009 Author Share Posted May 18, 2009 i am in michigan and no she hasnt found a place yet,she is staying with her mother and grandmother. and the city we live in has a bad school system and both of us will go out of our way to keep them in the good schools they are in.
