Check please?
I met a guy three weeks ago. We've gone out twice. For our date tonight he's cooking dinner for us at his place. We have plans to do something together tomorrow too. He hasn't said anything about my spending the night. Which is okay because I'm not ready for that. And I will tell him my views on that when/if it comes up. But a friend of mine has mentioned a couple of times that when a guy cooks dinner for you at his place, having sex is understood. Is she right? We've only hugged at the end of our past two dates. He's recently divorced and I haven't dated in the past few years.
Ryan
But a friend of mine has mentioned a couple of times that when a guy cooks dinner for you at his place, having sex is understood. No. Sex is understood when it's understood. There are no votes by proxy.
emokid
RYAN is right. Him cooking a meal for you at his place is a nice gesture, simple as that...It does NOT mean you have to give him sex and it doesn't mean that it should just be assumed because he's cooking you dinner at HIS house. I've actually never heard that before. Not sure where your friend got that information.
dalmatianbaby
You NEVER have to sleep with someone unless you're ready. That's some bad advice. I'm a little concerned for your friend. If she's falling over with her legs open every time a guy cooks for her, she's letting herself be used. I'd talk to her about that. Its not healthy. Guys don't respect women who just "pay up" at the end of the night like clockwork. Dalmatianbaby
Check please?
Thanks for your replies. You've really helped to put my mind at ease. I want to enjoy myself and not feel stressed. I thought with not dating that I was really out of the loop.
Tony T
"...when a guy cooks dinner for you at his place, having sex is understood. Is she right?" I think it depends on what he has planned for desert.
Check please?
:-) Cute Tony - I've recently read some of your posts and you almost always make me laugh! But I think you mean dessert - not desert. Because I don't know about you, but I almost always want dessert twice. Regardless of what's planned for it! ;-)
UCFKevin
WHAT?!? HAHAHAHAHA! That's hilarous. Your friends don't know what they're talking about. Granted, guys ALWAYS want sex, but it's not expected when dinner's cooked. That's ridiculous.
