brokenglass
Ok so, I've had a membership to a gym for almost 2 months now and have been seeing some really amazing results. About a week ago I came down with some allergies and have not been able to get rid of this chest cold. There's a ridiculous amount of phlegm in my lungs and it keeps coming and coming. I am blowing my nose constantly, you would think I had swine flu or something. I've been to the gym once this week. I wanted to go yesterday but I cannot stop hacking up gobs of nastiness out of my lungs. The last place I want to go is the gym and be blowing my nose and coughing stuff up and make people think I am sick. So, I was just wondering, when you guys are feeling under the weather, how does your workout routine differ than when you are feeling well? I'm very curious, as I'd like to go but this chest congestion makes it VERY difficult to breathe.
westernxer
If it doesn't clear up and you have trouble breathing, you should go for a checkup, since it might be some sort of infection. It's usually tougher though to work out during the initial phase of a cold, when your body is just beginning the clearing phase. I usually lighten up my workouts during that time.
