Iluvatar24 Posted May 23, 2009 Share Posted May 23, 2009 So I met this girl at my workplace and she's told me that she has a thing for me and I have a thing for her...but the situation is that shes pregnant from her last relationship and is going to have the baby. She's told me that that is the one problem about this whole thing. I've tried telling her that I know it's a HUGE commitment and responsibility but I would gladly like to help her and be part of her life as well as her baby but she keeps denying it. She says she doesn't want to start a relationship with anyone right now(I guess I'm the second guy in 6 months to try and start something) but she says I'm a great guy and it wouldn't be fair to me messing up my life. I want this woman and I really want this responsibility because I think I'm ready for it. Can anyone give me ideas about what to do? Link to post Share on other sites
colosseum Posted May 23, 2009 Share Posted May 23, 2009 um. you're brave. how long have u known her? it sounds like this would be an unfathomable commitment that, though you may think you're ready for, you may ultimately never be ready for. i would understand if this is your girl for at least a year, but sounds like you haven't even had a real date yet. i'd say be very thoughtful about just how badly you want this, because this would become a very sticky situation if you don't see her as a "till death do you part" type. frankly, if i were you i'd listen to the girl and try to move on, but keep up the friendship maybe. my 2 cents. best of luck.
