ang
I've been paging through some of these groups, reading the subject lines, and it just breaks my heart even more. Why are we doing this to ourselves? Why do we hurt each other like this? If I get better, what do I have to look forward to when all I see here is one hurt person after another? VASH THE STAMPEDE
HUMAN NATURE. Not all these stories are sad. If you get better???Whats wrong?
moimeme
Actually, it does get pretty disheartening sometimes to see that people don't learn from others. Same old mistakes, same old problems. New people having them. We've been a civilizaton for a long time but we can't get dealing with people straight. However, life has beautiful moments and wonderful people and it's all worth it for the beautiful moments and wonderful people.
bravegirl
That's just what I keep thinking - why do we have to be like this? Maybe when you're very young you make mistakes, but I am finding that even when you have suffered and think you have learnt and become a better person there is still hurt. Everyone who has written here is heartbroken in some way, and in genuine pain. It hurts and rocks your existence as you all know. On the other side of each story is another person who for various reasons won't, doesn't want to or can't match our desire for shared love and support. And that is what we cannot understand - you want to say to them, " Please just stay and be happy!" Sometimes it seems as simple as that. I just don't know.
moimeme
There are also the tales of missed opportunities and lost chances as people, terrified of rejection, don't make their feelings known. So sad that people will accept insult and censure much more easily than they will accept affection and fondness from each other.
Tony T
People come here with issues to have addressed. But that doesn't mean there aren't hundreds of millions of others who are very happy or at least content with their lives. You cannot measure the mood of a civilization by reading only posts at a site which specializes in romance and other of life's problems. There is much joy in the world and hopefully LoveShack can even increase what's already there.
