A Glimmer of Hope!

Recommended Posts

NC is a wonderful thing, as for me, it gets you over that hump of desperation when you feel at your absolute lowest. Everyone seems to on here, consistantly say...just "move on". I agree with them...go out, have fun, surround yourself with friends and family that make you happy, continue to grow and improve yourself as a person. You can reflect on the relationship that brought you to this forum in the first place, but don't dwell on it. You can't change the past. I know it's hard...trust me I do...personally i'm at 7 weeks NC from my ex, but one thing I still have in the back of my mind is "never say never". We never know what's going to happen next week, next month, 6 months, or next year...we might meet someone new....or that someone that we're wishing would come back just might. Sometimes the timing isn't right the first go around...leave things be, we never know who we might reconnect with down the road.

Excellent, just excellent.

You're right, living in now only holds us back. If we are optimistic about the future, then it gives us hope to accomplish something. I personally have been bad with my ex and not giving her space as I am afraid that as time goes she will only grow farther and farther away. I don't know what the future holds, but if I think positive, it makes the struggle to cope easier. Thanks.

I totally agree with you and think that being optimistic is the way to go. I always think that ten years ago, I never could have imagined that I would have the life that I have today (or have had the experiences that I've had), so who knows where I will be in ten more years?

LIfe is strange and I think that if someone from your past is meant to re-enter your life... they will. If they aren't, then they won't - but maybe that's what best for you.

It's a glimmer of hope for us all.

I agree with you sara82. Its not unhealthy expectations of something that may happen. its just simply accepting that the future is completely uncertain and its better to be open to all possibilities

Thanks guys!! What's meant to be will be, every relationship is different. The future is totally uncertain. Time will tell who were all meant to be with, just enjoy the ride while you can!!
