blah
I take care of my appearance, good hygiene, wash my hands when i get into the house from being out, wash hands after eating, brush teeth regularly, shower everyday etc etc - bascially i like to feel clean and fresh and like to see that in potential partners.....nice clean hands, smelling real good etc the whole works. (of course they also have to have non shallow traits like kindness, morals etc etc). So it always shocks me when guys/girls go for guys/girls that have really horrible hands, bad breath, BO, bascially non clean looking people. Is it just me? Am i missing something? Don't people take care of themselves? Theres a girl at work that has bad breath and BO, my boss has really bad breath, one of the other guys sometimes smells like ****......and i just can;t believe that they dont; know how bad they smell. Thing is if they don;t sort this then its others that suffer. and telling them could be tricky. i have tried but it just don;t work. I was also seeing this guy once and he would never wash his hands after coming in. When ever i come in from work or beign out or whatever i wash my hands, freshen up. esp livign in london the amount of dirt........you know what i;m talkign abotu if you live in lonond. Anyway, he wouldn;t even wash his hands before cooking food then it got to the point when i did not want his hands on me. AND THEN he hadn;t washed his genitals and wanted me to perform oral sex on him. I refused adn eventually had to tell him why when he kept pestering me (lol). Then he started to sulk because he i said 'he smells' - well you did..ok!! I think good hygiene should be taught - don;t parents teach their kids anything. My mom, from when we were kids, made sure that we all had a shower everday without fail, and i'm so glad that she did that. i lvoe feeling clean. anyway - i just had to have a barney about that

moimeme
Ballroom dancing gets you up close and personal with a lot of people and their personal 'auras'. Seems many folks may not be aware of the effects of gum disease. Please floss! That gum rot breath is close to the worst possible smell a human can manage to make.
longlegzs80
Sorry, but I had to laugh at what you put in your thread. Too funny. I was laughing at how you were talking about the people at your work. Freakin sick a$$'$. Anywho, I don't blame you one bit. I feel the same way about wanting someone who has the same hygiene habits as myself. But it is unfortunate that some people are just discusting and if no one says anything to them then they will keep living their lives the way they have by being all smelly and stuff. But what you mentioned about if parents teach that stuff to their kids, it all depends, my mom taught me that. But when you look at other people and their bad habits you always wonder. You think that people would have the common sense to wash their hands after using the bathroom, lots of people don't. Doesn't that make you want to eat something that they have prepared?LOL. I really believe if kids see parents not being clean or doing what they have to do to be clean then it will just rub off on the kids and they will be the next stinky a$$ generation. But, it is all about how you raise your kids. It is very important to let them know about hygiene. Anywho, that is it. Lots of people are just gross and discusting.

yes
do you ballroom-dance? i dance all the time - and i can't believe how lil attention some men pay to their hygiene! i mean - you KNOW you're going to be up close with women - why not freaking brush your teeth and take a shower?? drives me nuts b/c there is no way to be far enough not to smell it while dancing ... and i also feel bad turning guys down when they ask for a dance b/c of their smell... Oh, and if you drink alcohol, plz grab a piece of gum before going back to the dance floor!! But... interestingly, the smell of sweat (NOT bad breath, etc) can be attractive. But only at the end of the night, when it's justified! -yes
moimeme
to moimeme do you ballroom-dance? Oh yes indeedy. Think I'm in my fifth year. Doing Bronze Standard and Latin now. I'm hooked. Can't beat exercise that involves interacting with persons of the opposite gender, music, and fun!
monkey00
yes i strongly agree in keeping good hygiene as well. the problem with uncleanly people is that others try to avoid getting close to them because of their overall hygiene and bad smell. good hygiene has a higher success of someone coming over and talking to you, while the opposite goes for hygiene...it's almost like bad move done to make people stay away. Not a lot of parents teach their children about good hygiene, yet telling them to shower everyday and change clothes everday may just be about it for most of us out there. yet many of us out there are also very lazy people, that consider keeping a good hygiene a "chore" Another point i would like to make is that MANY people out there DO NOT realize they have bad hygiene UNTIL someone would actually tell them to their face.... which is pretty sad and embarassing, which almost no one is willing to say something so cruel...
