A friend of mine took at online arobics class for his gym credit. they only met for class twice a semester. He said it was all girls except him and another guy. He said one hot girl the teacher used her as an example to show some stretch or something and he said her whole thong was showing LOL. Bad thing was is his girlfriend took the same class with him and she got mad about it lol.

I just hope I don't injure myself in the class. Anyone ever see the episode "According to Jim" Where Jim decides to take a class? He's clumsy, knocks people over, ect.

Don't make getting a girlfriend a priority, and one will come along eventually.

Date different women, so you can sample what's out there. Eventually, one will rise above the others and you'll be able to decide, soberly, if she is worth it.

Otherwise, have other goals and hobbies. Female company is the result of living a happy life, not the other way around. Don't make a GF or any woman the centerpiece of your life.

Personally, I think you should stay away from LTRs in college and enjoy the variety. But if you REALLY want a GF: Don't want one.

What is LTR?

my experiences tell me that you should just be casual about it,

what ive done in the past is in study groups or even during a quick break through a lesson ask her what she is doing after class. in my case, there not doing anything about 70% of the time, so just say, "wanna come grab some lunch with me" you know, dont tell her straight up or it will make it awkward for both of you, girls dont like the pressure of being put on the spot like that.

on another note, hi guys im new to LS forums. :] nice to meet you all :D

my first post ^_^

I agree with the other posters that say don't take yoga to meet girls. If you take the class your only motive should be to learn and practice yoga that's it. If you happen to meet a girl, that's one thing; but going there specifically for the purpose to meet girls is not cool.

I also suggest the study group, talking to someone after class, and/or coffee shop or pub. I know my college puts on at least 2 or 3 social events a month and it's a great way to mingle and meet new people.

IM only taking math and Pilates this summer. Not really study groups for that.

OK well, maybe you should continue to dismiss advice and make excuses for yourself. You seem to be really good at that.

This is absurd. There are so many ways to meet girls in college. You get a girlfriend there the same way you do anywhere else. You first speak to them, then you invite them out with you, then date, then ask them to be your girlfriend. Done.

Finding a girlfriend in college is not something that needs tips and guides by anyone. If you are going to a university, there are thousands and thousands of girls of all types. If you can't find a girlfriend without help, you've got a social disorder.

Guess I have a social disorder then.

A bit of an exaggeration. Some guys have a hard time talking to girls. It's more nerves than a "social disorder". The problem, IMO, is that the OP thinks he needs a girl to complete himself. We should all be complete on our own. Other people are, as another poster once put it, just passengers on our train.

Yea it's nerves with me, but even then I still overcome them and ask them out. Twice I asked out girls in my classes and been shotdown.

I go to community college, not university, and Im at a satellite campus, not the main large campus.

I feel like a lot of it has to do with cliques too. Girls tend to date in their own cliques and not even consider other guys. There might be thousands of girls around, but only a handful will consider me.

Yes, sorry for the exaggeration. It was more of a sarcastic joke.

But seriously, meeting girls in college is so simple. If you can't do it there, I can't imagine how you will ever meet girls once you graduate. This is the time where you will be around the most girls that are around your same age.

Join clubs, talk to girls in class, and just be flirty. You will pick many girls up.

I don't know what it means to be flirty, honestly.

Along with classes and a few groups related to my major, I do a demanding varsity sport that practices at least once a day (which means I'm tall, filled out, and in shape, which should work to my advantage), am in a comedic acting group that does a few plays per semester, and a club for musicians. I obviously do plenty and put myself out there. Girls don't seem to want to talk to me, though. I rarely get looks from girls I like, never get them to talk to me, and when I man up and talk to them they blow me off. It ain't that easy, man.

Maybe our colleges are different. Its pretty easy where I'm at. Another great place to hit on girls is the gym. Girls hit on me at the gym even.

Not so quickly. Ease into it. If they're giving warm vibes right away, and you feel like it flows well in the conversation, say what you feel.
Maybe the OP can't feel his way though social interactions in general.

I go to a very big school, if that's any different.

I usually do a workout on my own, but this summer while we're off I've been going to one of the gyms. It's literally all guys there (it's the gym on the science and engineering campus). The gym on the arts and sciences campus probably has more girls in it, but it is also filled to the brim with gym rat guys who are constantly hitting on them. So, the gym is a difficult place to meet a girl here, IMO. In the dining hall it's practically taboo to sit with new people (found that out the hard way), and girls typically don't want to be bothered in study areas, libraries, coffee shops, etc. The only other thing I can think of is a party, and I haven't even been to a party that wasn't at one of our team's houses for the past year. I'm not really into the whole grinding dance thing anyway.

I think more of it has to do with the location of the school.

I live in the south (Texas) and would say that southerners are typically more outgoing and nice than other regions.

You really can sit with random people here. I talk to random people and random people talk to me and it's not like a weird thing.

So you mean right after I say hi and introduce myself I should ask them out?

This is very interesting. I was listening to Talk of The Nation on my iPod today and the story was about Happiness. They were commenting about the tendency of smaller towns to have a more tight-knit sense of community, and thus citizens of smaller towns have a greater sense of belonging, and perhaps are happier than Coasters like me (Oregon).

Well the "smaller" town thing is true, but I grew up in Houston. So not really a "small" town haha.

Small town people are friendly usually to the people who live in that town, but unfriendly to outsiders.

Wait til she talks freely to you without you needing to pull info out of her.

oh man, i've been outta the game for 2 years now...how i miss it!

anytime i find a girl attractive in my class or something (i'm gonna be a junior in college) I usually make eye contact with her and smile at first, but don't stare! Then i just shoot the **** with her after class, introduce myself, see what kinda vibes i get from her. It's easy to tell if a girl just isn't into you(or maybe just isn't into guys!) or if she thinks your a good guy.

Confidence is key though. Imagine if a girl came up to and was stuttering and blushing and stuff, no one wants that.
