I still have pictures of her and her dog Bluey, which she sent me via snail mail, along with some letters. It was a true pen-pal type relationship. No romance or flirtation. We were learning about each other's cultures. It lasted about 2 years and then we drifted apart. I found it fascinating and still remember her well.
