Recommended Posts

Im going to sound a right bad one.Im in love with my partner and want to get married. My problem is we hardly ever have sex,ive got a high sex drive and hate pestering her,we used to have fun all the time. She says things will get better once married.Do i go into a sexless marriage with the hope that things improve or get out now....Ladies did marriage improve your sex drive,i dont want kids so we wouldnt be for that.

Once the drive is gone for a woman in a relationship, it is gone for good (unless she hooks up with someone new - then that drive comes roaring back). The best you can hope for is that she will at least do it for your sake and the sake of the marriage, and not be resentful about it.

She says it will get better so that you won't back out of getting married.

Seriously - I wouldn't even consider marriage at this point if a healthy and frequent sex life is high on your emotional priorities.

All of this is absolutely true.

In fact if you think you are experiencing a lull now most guys will tell you that a lot of times sex will wane after marriage -- and ESPECIALLY after the babies start arriving.

It has been my experience that anything that is a problem is magnified 10 fold after marriage.

If you are seriously bothered I would not get married to this particular woman.

Agreed with all above posts. My sister always says that a healthy, satisfying sex life is important before you get married. Whatever you're getting now is as good as it will get in the marriage.

frankly, it sounds like a campaign promise on her end so that you'll still want to marry her, and I'd make her go see a doctor to see if there's a physiological reason why her libido has waned. Because your sex life is never going to get any better than it is right now.
