Forever loving life
My friend and I spend a decent amount of time together and when we go out, he pays. He takes care of me and listens to what I have to say. We gaze into each other's eyes a lot. We talk about very personal things. It often feels to me like we are a couple. What is the best way to find out what we are in his eyes?
dunstable
What are you hoping for it to be? Why do women (I assume you are a woman though your profile says you prefer not to disclose your gender) so often wait for the man to make a move. If you want to escalate it, do so. Take the initiative! If you are not a woman, same advice applies!
MagicRat09
That's what happened to me. I was wrong, but I hope it's different for you. Take a chance, you deserve to know.
GorillaTheater
Ask him. A little communication can do wonders.
norajane
Ask him. That's the best way. Or, when you're gazing into each other's eyes, just lean in and kiss him.
WineCountry
What are you hoping for it to be? Why do women (I assume you are a woman though your profile says you prefer not to disclose your gender) so often wait for the man to make a move. ! Because historically men are the pursuers, and like the chase. And because most times that I took the initiative and made the first move, It didnt work out. But when i let the GUY pursue, it did. But that's just me. I just know that I will drop hints, but Im probably NOT going to be the one to bring up any do you want to date, or do you want more, conversations with men again. Author Forever loving life
Today, we spent a lot of time talking and gazing into each other's eyes. We stood together with our arms around each other. I have a great feeling about us. I will keep you informed of anything new.
berry_oh
I think he totally digs you!
Oxydizer
Well, I would say that if he is gazing into your eye's and you are both in each others arms, then there is some mutual "digging" going on. Just go with it and enjoy the excitement it brings, I think sometimes we want to know too much too soon. Just enjoy the exploration of each other, because sometimes as we grow more comfortable in a relationship, that feeling goes away and turns into something else.
Author Forever loving life
Thank you to all of you for your responses! I am just going to continue enjoying whatever it is that is happening between us because it is amazing.
SM82
Awww I feel like I could have written this same post about six months ago. My best friend and I were very similar to you and yours-talk everyday, hang out all.the.time, lots of longer than normal gazes, random smiles at eachother, etc. One day I said to him, "It's hard for me to hang out with you because all I want to do is kiss you." He blushed A LOT and initially said he wasn't sure how he felt. Wellllll that was six months ago and we've been dating for about 5 1/2 You'll never know what he's feeling until you ask him. Doesn't sound like you need to though. Good luck! -S
Author Forever loving life
I texted my friend to say I hope he had a great fathers day and that he is a great father. He called me right away and we had a great conversation. Everytime I text him he calls right back. He has also invited my friend and I out to see his friends band, and he plans on getting up and singing with them.
