Long distance breakup...help!

First of all spare me the crap about long distance relationships never working out...Now that I have that out of the way, let me explain my dilema. My girlfriend last year decided to switch colleges in order to pursue her dream degree. So she is in Hawaii and I am in college in California. We broke up on good terms still friends and what not, bassically because I stressed her out telling her how much I missed her all the time and was unhappy without her, crying a bit too kind of weak I know. Anyway, she told me the other week that she still loves me, just not as much as before. I really want to win her back in full, because she really is a wonderful girl, but I am not sure how to do so. I have backed off dramatically quit telling her I loved her and trying to pursuade her to get back together, but I do not know how to truly win her back, since we can't just pick up and go on a date to reconcile or anything like that. Also not that it matters, but she happens to be from Japan so her value system is a bit different, though I try to understand it.

VASH THE STAMPEDE

I would call her and talk to her ,but not about a relationship.

I would wait till she was back in the state to pursue a relationship with her.

Sounds like you were hanging on a little too tight when you were with her. Perhaps, really dependent on her. She sounded like she was the independent one (switching colleges and living her life). I really don't know how long the two if you have been broken up, but it all sound recent. What you might want to do is just let things cool down for a while and remain friends. Live your life to the fullest.
