SarahJ
I have been very close friends with this woman for 6 years. We have spent some time together in real life but when we're apart it seems most of the time she won't have any contact with me outside of email unless she's drunk. She claims I am her best friend ever and I feel the same. But this I don't understand...any clues?
musgrrl
What kinds of things does she talk about when she's drunk? It might give you a hint as to why she needs to drink in order to communicate with you.

Oh geez she talks about everything, her whole life, mostly the things that she can't get past, from the grocery clerk who was rude to the death of a loved one, romantic break ups, kids, you name it. It's like a broken record, pretty much the same stuff every time. And then there's me, how she can't live without me, she lives for me. The more drunk she is, the less she allows me to speak, just talking over me. I realize this is pretty typical, I just don't understand why she won't even chat in a chat room or a messenger and phone with me, very rarely anyway. This is someone who wants to spend her life with me so I really don't understand.
