jeepman Posted June 15, 2009 Share Posted June 15, 2009 wife left me for another man behind my back. she has been sleeping at his house for 4 months, now she tells me i need to move out and she can move back into the house so our son can be with her. he, our 9 year old, has stayed with me the whole time she has been out. she would show up in the morning to take him to school, and pick him up in the afternoon and wait till i get home than leave. also, she does not work, but always tells me i need to give her money. am i this stipid or should i tell her to go f*** herself. i go see a lawyer in a few days but work construction in florida and times are tough Link to post Share on other sites

Is she planning on kicking you out and getting the OM to move in? WTF? I'd say change the locks and go see a lawyer. You can file under adultery and abandonment hopefully your state is a fault state. Florida is similar to Alabama, in that whatever stupid law Alabama passes, Florida not far behind and vice~versa. Only Fl is slightly more progressive. Women get sole custody 90% of the time simply because men don't fight them? But in the 10% of the cases where men do seek sole custody? They're awarded it 90% of the time. I would say you've got a pretty strong case ~ strong! Not easy! She abandoned you and your DS7 for another man, she left the martial home. More than likely? You earn twice what she does? That's makes you the more responsible and dependable parent! One of the things that your not taking into consideration is the court's desire to make damn sure that your DS doesn't end up a "ward" of the state, in foster care, nor on the welfare roles. Especially during these tough economic times. Your going to have to maintain a cool head, and not do anything, nor say anything that would give her ammunition to use against you. She doesn't give a damn about DS, she's wanting to have her cake and eat it to! Man the Wall, man the wire, and stand your ground! BTW? Looks like you got a good case for custody. Don't give her any money and certaintely don't move out or let her move in if you don't have to let her(I don't know if you have to or not). Change the locks! Is there any alternative child care until things get straightened out with the lawyers? Do not give her money! Do not let her treat you this way!
