No matter what I do I cant get that to go down, it shrinks, but is aggravating. Does anyone have any advice of something if consistantly stuck to works along with a proper diet? EddieN
Nothing you can really do to pinpoint fat loss in your belly. Just keep running and also do a bit of weight training. More muscle will require more energy from your body, which will burn some of your existing fat.
Chocolat
1) What do you define as a "proper" diet? 2) Do weights. ^^^ Abs are made in the kitchen. Running eats muscle mass and it is plenty easy to be "skinny-fat" - low overall weight but high bodyfat percentage. a sound nurtition program combined with lifting weights is far more effecive in reducing bodyfat, which is what you need to do if you want a flat/defined stomach. Author ON MY OWN
1) What do you define as a "proper" diet? 2) Do weights. A proper diet meaning plenty of protein, chicken, tuna, egg whites, low fat bacon, vegetables, fruits, salad w limited amounts of low fat dressing, low fat cottage cheese. Any other suggestions as I am aware of the weights, I do every other day, is this good for that or should I do my weight routine different? I need to add more "crunchies", are those AS important WITH the running if I am consistant? How many does one do, I do a hundred when I do them, paying attention to my form to make sure I get the best burn from my workouts. Please help my stomach is killing me, I absolutely HATE it. My other parts seem to have trimmed nicely, its just that darn stomach, yikes!! LOL Thank you everyone for your feed back and if anyone has specific workouts in mind, please share. I just need to fine tune and welcome new workouts that can bring the progess that I am looking for. This depresses me sometimes after all my hard work and stubborn belly fat!! I am checking this often. Any personal trainers out there wanna help also??

Doing the combo seems to work best for me. So you are already burning fat by running therefore start doing crunches if you are not already. About 100 sit ups in a session (dont push yourself too hard - try between 20-50 to begin with) sounds about right, but vary it by doing elbow to opposite knee instead of just straight up and down, also try plank position (hold for about a minute or as long as feels comfortable) Have you done kick boxing? I find that the jabs, uppercuts, punches and hooks tone my tummy as well. You can feel the muscles working as you do it.

Devil Inside
I hear you! I always lose my belly last. However, when I'm really keeping up with both diet and training it does go away. Consistency is the key.
