Meaplus3
Ok. I have lost some weight in the past year due to quitting drinking, changing my diet and excercising. Now, I'm too thin IMO and I'm slowly gaining weight back. But, My face looks real thin. For some reason my face is not filling out. I'm worried about that? Should I be? When I was drinking it was a ton of beer. so, I looked bloated. So, I can see where I've lost weight in my face because of getting rid of the booze. I don't like the way my face looks and it scares me that I have some illness. Mea:)
Isolde
Mea, this happened to me when I lost almost 10 Ibs after junior year of college. My face looked "gaunt..." it was weird. But I've gained all the weight back in my face and none back in my body. Go figure! I think sometimes your body just needs to adjust to being a certain weight. I hear salt retention puffs up the face, but that's unhealthy. You probably look fine. Don't crash diet and don't over-exercise. That's what makes some women look scary thin in the face. Jilly Bean
It's a tough thing, Mea. We don't always gain weight in the same (or reverse) order that we lost it. So, no real formula to know why the weight is still not coming back to your face. Could be also an age-related thing. All people tend to lose fullness in the face as we age. Give it some time, and if you have put the body weight on that you want, and the face still hasn't filled out, then you can see a PS about some fillers.
Author Meaplus3
Thanks guys. It's strange because some people think I look great and then I've heard comments from other's like "what's wrong with her"? Those comments bother me. I guess I have to learn to trust my doctor. He has told me I'm very healthy and that my weight is well within the normal range for my height. I guess I just miss the plump on my face. And yeah, your very right jilly when you say that we do lose facial plump as we age. Mea:)
KillerFish
Each person loses weight in a different way, some people lose/gain weight in certain body parts, others lose it proportionaly. There's not much you can do besides gaining weight on your whole body. Most people tho would love to lose the fat on their faces, not the other way around:p

I drink a ton of water. I don't look gaunt per say, just lost some fat in my cheeks. I have very high cheek bones.. and a thin face to begin with. It just got a touch thinner since I've lost a few pounds. I have been eating more and I now notice it's filing in a bit. I must have cut back my calorie to far. I dunno?
