You think it will bring out your kindness?

What kindness? :lmao:

See, I can poke fun at myself!

I'd name it Rocky.

I'm thinking K2, as in the mountain ("rock") and the skis (which really brought us together). I plan on "putting it to bed" each night, and even giving it a bath every now and again.

Though I must say, I sometimes think he loves the ring more than I do. Maybe it's a "protecting his investment" thing. He sure does stare at it a lot and inquire as to it's health.

I think I'll call mine Raquel.

Yeah, I could unleash if I really wanted to. I know that since I feel bad when others tease me though, I don't usually do it too much. I don't want them to feel the same way.

Some of us don't feel the same way though, LB. Like I said, I let it roll off my back and even get a kick out of it and a laugh.

Well we don't want to mix the two up. Besides his name is "Gary Poppins" because of his "lets tidy up" comments.

I counted how many times he said "lets tidy up" yesterday. 11 times!!!

OMG! Gary Poppins!:lmao: That is really funny! OMG, he sounds almost worse than Mr. T (if that's possible!) YIKES. I'd have to slap him if he did that. What he normally does though is on the weekends, he'll straighten up what he thinks I didn't do a good job on. And he's great about doing dishes and stuff on the weekends just to give me a break since I do everything during the week.

What kindness? :lmao:

See, I can poke fun at myself!

AHAHA! I know. You bytch! Even a big rock won't bring out kindness that's not there. ahaha.

That's funny! Wait, does K2 mean 2K's also? That's a nice respectable size. Oh and I do "bathe" mine quite regularly in fact.

I call my ring...ring, my car...car, my hair...hair... ;)

S. also calls inanimate objects by their real names too! I like that!

Wow, what a concept!

I like K2, SG! Make sure that after you bathe it, you moisturize it, powder it & put in on its little waterbed so it's comfortable, though, or it could just turn on you!!:lmao:

Uhm, LB it's an inanimate object. Just sayin'. I mean I love my shoes too. Does that show my kindness and passion?

Actually an engagement ring is a very special symbol and I love mine deeply. You'll see when you get one of course.

:lmao: Well well, look who grew some balls. Good for you.

Seeing as I'm in a relationship with myself, I felt the need to share just how wonderful I am.

Examples are not needed of course, it's so obvious.

Well I'm glad that you called your SO, instead of driving. That he handled it in stride, is more than cool!

Yeah, I'm really lucky/blessed that way - I figured (rightly) that he was MUCH more likely to pitch a hissy fit if I thought I could drive after that kind of stupidity than if I just picked up the phone & said, "Babe, it's your stupid wife...I need you to come get me at so & so's house...'cause I've just completed throwing up my toenails & don't believe I should be behind the wheel of a car!"

Yep, he handles pretty much everything in stride (he'd HAVE to, being married to ME!).

My hubby takes pride in my accomplishments or when I do something really well.

He LOVES when I compete with him at something - and beat him!

(I find that to be a rare quality.)

I found this out when we were dating and went to a bar to have some drinks and play some pool.

He beat me the first couple of games - and then I beat him.

And when I did he hi-fived me with a lot of sincere praise - he was beaming.

And when he went up to get a couple more drinks he bragged to the guys sitting at the bar that I'd just kicked his butt.

He can laugh at himself and see the humor in most everything.

And he enjoys his weekend mornings where he gets up and straightens up the house, putters around doing yard work, cleans, etc. while I - the night owl - sleep in.

When I finally get up his face completely lights up when he sees me and he'll say, "Good morning honey. Are you ready to have some breakfast?".:love::love:

Oh how I miss him!!!!!!!!!!!

I love K2!! The mountain, the carats, the symbolism of the snow and skiing.

That is so funny and cute SG.:bunny::bunny::bunny:

 ahaha. So funny! I do regularly clean and shine mine up but I don't have a name for it yet. I'm working on it. I'm trying to think of someone who is really fake but fools everyone into thinking they're real. Any ideas anyone?

It could be "Katy" for a nickname. Only we LS women will know what she's talking about when she talks about Katy.

I still need a name for mine though. :(

That is great Touche. A little inside joke for those of us here on LS. ;)

I know. I need a name for mine too...I can't think of anything so cute!! And my rind is really unique.

Maybe I should name it Unique!

But that isn't cute. And it doesn't relate to the islands...(I like everything to relate to the islands :o)

AHHH!

Got it!!!!!!!

My fiance "pouts" when I beat him in monopoly. I think he takes it too seriously because he is an accountant.

He is adorable when he pouts though.

I had to share this because it was too funny. I was just talking to my fiance and he is asking me to get off LS and go "tidy up the kitchen." I told him we need to get him an umbrella and a carpet bag lol. He just made a joke and said he could fly onto our balcony from a cloud in the sky.

Maybe there is something to this "laughing at yourself" stuff.

Yes, LB... there really is. I wouldn't get through a single day without the ability to laugh at my own expense. I just made fun of my boobs, for crying out loud!

Now go put on your PJs with footies and play with Teddy Ruxpin.

See, that was a JOKE! :lmao:

Meh, I don't like Katy. You can't name my ring.:laugh: Besides, what if the damn thing isn't 2 t.c.w. after all? Then K2/2K doesn't make sense! Then it would have to be... Whitney, or... Shasta!

Heni --- it translates in English to "Here. Near you."

I was just about to look up something for you, but that sounds perfect!

If I look for something around to show he is here with me -- uh hello! The symbol of our love and commitment!:love::bunny::bunny:

I'm literally on my knees worshipping my man sometimes, since I'm so glad he's not like some of the more recent "new" members!! Someone was looking out for me, BIG TIME!

Extremely intelligent, very ambitious, and has the best most wonderful heart I know. God I love him :love:. He's quite funny and cute as all hell. Everything he does is cute it seems like sometimes. The way he sighs,, the way he yawns, even his burps are cute. He's very unique, you know he's special. You're not just going to find someone like him everyday. He makes me want to make him proud the way he makes me proud all the time. That's what I aspire to do, and it's made me a better person.

My girl's loyalty is unmatched. She stands up for my name without hesitation. As gorgeous as she is and as much attention she gets, she stays focused on me. She never looks at another person the way she does at me. She's relentlessly supportive, patient, and loving. She's dedicated.

This was good for me.. I want to stay positive about the way I think of women.. I don't know why but it's been easy for me to start thinking of women as sensitive, annoying, cry babies.

He is better in bed than twenty years of men before him, deeply intelligent, purely male/masculine, powerful, handsome, incredibly funny... I could go on forever.

Another thing is that no matter how much her misandrist coworkers try to drag her into their pit of misery she wants nothing to do with it. It says a lot about a woman when she can see that garbage for what it is and quickly dismiss it.

I also love her intelligence and the way she shares my natural curiosity about the world around us. We can go on for hours having deep talks about things.
