the most important number you left out was your total caloric intake..... that vs. your calories burned is the deciding factor on weight loss.

are you trying to tone up? if so i would suggest more lean protiens... yogurt, fish, white meats, etc... just watch the sodium.

You're just eating 2 meals a day? That's not a good idea. Better to eat 4-5 small meals throughout the day. You'll feel better, your blood sugar will remain steady, and if you don't your body thinks it's starving and will hold onto fat longer.

if you're tryng to lose weight through diet and exercise, you need to make sure you're giving it the fuel it needs most: Protein.

I've been told to first fill up on protein, then vegetables. And to avoid white (usually starchy) foods. Another doctor told me that if I'm doing this AND exercising like I'm supposed to the weight loss will seem slower, because I'm building up muscle, which weighs less than fat.

caloric intake: Every food had has box on the label with the nutrutional breakdown and serving portions of the food you consume. Consult that. Better yet, get with a dietician to learn how to make the most of your meals and how to eat better. Sounds like you're doing a good job for a start, but need to streamline what you're doing.

congrats on the weight loss!

Fruit and juice are all sugar, that's a bad diet.

Your diet should be mostly protein and you should eat 4-5 times a day, not 2.

If you don't eat often enough your body thinks there's a famine, so it tries to preserve and store food. If you eat often, it thinks there's plenty of food around so it keeps your metabolism burning hot.

Very true.

Buy a container of whey and make protein shakes. Drink some before, during, and after your workout. Never go 2 hours without eating something. Protein shakes are also good to fill in the gaps between meals.

Your brain and nervous system requires many more calories than most people would have you believe. If you're not getting the right number of calories in most cases your body will "eat itself" to get those calories and the muscle is usually the first to go instead of the fat.

I wouldn't say stop eating fruit. Juice I might agree, but fruit holds too many health benefits to stop eating it to lose weight. The trick you want to balance is continuing a healthy lifestyle in totality and losing weight. If you lose weight and your digestive and intestinal systems are suffering, you're doing no good to your body.

Good luck Minnie

Fruit is mad good to eat. When resources persist, I'll usually have an entire seedless watermelon per day.

You just should use the simple sugars to your advantage and do cardio. More sugar = more energy = more distance you'll run/swim/bike/whatever = more fit you will become for next time you do cardio.

with the juice you drink... do you squeeze it fresh, or is prebottled?

i ask b/c most juices have a ton of sugar added..... try cutting your juice with water- that will save you bunches of calories each week.

If you're working out I would NOT suggest going hungry at any point. As I mentioned earlier, if you do not get the right amount of calories your body will not only "eat-itself" (the muscle first before fat), but it will effect brain function.

Eat, eat, eat! Okay, don't eat that much....but EAT! :p
