nobandaid Posted November 10, 2003 Posted November 10, 2003 Hi there, I am in need of some helpful advice. My ex boyfriend is taking 50mg of valium every day. His doctor is unaware of this. He says he is addicted to it and won't get off it. He has been irrational and short tempered whist on it. What should I do? Thanks
ArdeaCandidissima Posted November 11, 2003 Posted November 11, 2003 You could do one of these things: 1) Ignore it, since I presume he is an adult and not your problem/business 2) Intervene with him, supported by other friends and family, based on the theory that he is your friend and you don't want him to get hurt (50 mg/day is worrisome) 3) Tell his doctor How involved are you with this person, and does he have any propensity towards violence?

We broke up three months ago and are no longer on speaking terms. We are only 19. Perhaps some of your other questions will be answered by checking out my other posts. Thanks so much for your reply. i just don't know what to do anymore. Btw...would valium be "shielding" him from the pain of the breakup? (that is why he originally went on it) What are the side effects and effects of valium? Thank you
