NuReality Posted November 11, 2003 Share Posted November 11, 2003 My wife and I have been married for less than a year, in the next few months I'll be going away for a couple months to get help and treatment for alcoholism. She has been such a support system for me, and I am just very happy for that. She was telling her best friend that she loved the idea of renewing your vows, I am considering asking to her to marry me again and doing our wedding all over again on our anniversary. But I wanted opinions from other women as well, I've gotten opinions from my friends (mainly guys) and all they said was,"Why would you go through with getting married again? haha. So, Now I thought I'd get a second opinion. Would she like something like that, think I am nuts? Link to post Share on other sites

Vow renewals on the first year anniversary are virtually unheard of - it seems to beg the question, "Why do you need to do this again so soon?" And I can't think of anything worth celebrating more than your future recovery. I am sooooo happy that you've decided to take this step. Most people don't even get this far.
