SingleChic
So I recently broke up with my boyfriend. I am ready to start at least meeting some new people. One of my friends is hooking me up with an extremely hot young attorney. I found him on facebook and sent him a message. He did not reply for 3 weeks! But in his message he says he does want to get together soon. (remember I do not know the guy)...so today I walked into a restaurant and saw him there. We recognized each other, i guess, i found out from my friend he received a message form this guy telling him he saw me. My friend says there was nothing else said. The hot guy still hasnt contacted me. Should I send him another message telling him sorry i did not say hello? I just want him to ask me out!

Author SingleChic
On sunday I told him when i would be free this week and i've heard nothing from him. I feel that he may get cocky if i do that. You sure I wont show too much?
lupa
"Hey, a friend told me a little bit about you, and I'd love to get together with you to get to know you, say after work for drinks at such and such bar. [Friend's name] says we would have a good time. Are you free on Thursday, say about 5:30?"
Author SingleChic
That's what I told him on my first message. Obviously without asking him out. Then the 3 week no reply. Then I told him to go out with me this week...no reply. He has only seen my pics on facebook. Maybe he is just not interested!
lupa
Be direct. Ask him. If he doesn't answer, respond, give up, move on. End of story.
xpaperxcutx
Or instead of appearing desperate, just give up right now. This guy must check his FB from time to time, there's no reason for him not to respond to you. He's intentionally avoiding you.
D-Lish
It doesn't appear he is interested. If he was, he'd be responding in a timely manner. If he's seen you in person and still hasn't made the move to reply to your message- I'd let it go. He might just feel you've been a little too anxious in your pursuit- some men just don't go for that.
big_girls_rock
Don't fall for the facebook hype- I NEVER check my facebook and it's possible that he checks it every once in a while as well. I'd be careful, sending him messages, texts, and showing up in the same places he is can make a guy freak out, especially if he hasn't answered you and might see you as stalker material. I would ask him out one more time, directly, if he blows you off or doesn't respond, then HE'S JUST NOT THAT INTO YOU- which seems to be the case.
Chrome Barracuda
Women need to take the initative sometimes and ask the guy out first. Dont be aggresive, dont be bashful, be just right. and know what you want.

Jada
He obviously knows you sent him a message as I receive my messages about facebook in my inbox. I say forget about him and move on.
boogieboy
Hes an attorney. He might not even check his facebook for weeks at a time. You could either ask him in person, or accept that hes not interested. BTW if hes hot, make sure you accept the possibility that he is already involved with someon who is hotter than you. EddieN
My sister has been trying to hook me up with this one girl she works with. I'm not attracted or interested in this girl at all, and she keeps sending me messages via facebook. Sounds like the same thing here. I'm not crazy about facebook, but if a girl who I was very attracted to friended me and told my sister she thinks I'm hot, I wouldn't hesitate to ask her out.
