Maggs
We had wonderful 2 weeks together!!! First week went by nice and slow, then the 2nd week just flew by. I hate that part!! Was very sad saying goodbye. Hoping for a visit around November (fingers crossed!) He was here for my b'day as well Got some more wedding stuff. I asked my maid of honour to stand with me, we picked out our rings, found out photographer and met with the chef where we're having our reception and tasted our menu options. YUMMY!!! Back to the hum-drum of LDR again. 300 days till our wedding day! I can't wait!!

Rollercoasterr
I just realized that we're getting married on the same day! At least that's if I'm calculating it right. I'm getting married on June 26th. 297 days to go! We've taken our engagement pictures, paid our deposit on our photographer, reception and ceremony sites, I've gotten my dress, veil, and slip. There's still a ton left to do(finalizing our menu--the reception site requires that they cater our wedding), but I think it's doable in my amount of time. That's if immigration wants to cooperate. I've made doubly sure that my vendors KNOW that there's a slim chance that I'll have to change my date. I wouldnt want to lose deposits!

We are getting married on the same day. What are the chances of that. So far we have paid deposits on ceremony/reception site. Getting it all done in the same spot, picked a photographer, had our menu testing at our reception spot, have our rings picked out, fiance has his kilt picked out, colours, etc, have a list of dj's/pipers we're going to email soon and have sent out save the dates to everyone. Seeing as how 2/3 of our guest list is coming from thousands of miles away!
Rollercoasterr
I'm sending out my Save the Dates in like November/Decemberish, and then the actual invitations around Feb. I'll have my RSVP date in April cause I have to give my reception site my final head count in May. My reception and ceremony site are both at the same location too. We're getting married at Cumberland Falls State Park here in Kentucky. It's one of the few places in the world that has a moonbow, so I figured that my canadian guests would like something scenic and would enjoy it. And since there's an abundant amount of cute and fuzzy wildlife that just walk right out in front of you at any given time, it could be entertaining! I think the hardest part about this is trying to accommodate everyone. Everything I do I have to do it in french and english. But it's worth it!!!
Island Girl
OMG OMG You two getting married THE SAME DAY!!! What are the odds? A double LS LDR forum wedding day!!! YAY!! :bunny: And then also -- both of you dealing with inter-country immigration. Rollercoasterr going TO Canada and Maggs going to -- Scotland right Maggs? (Sorry if I got that wrong). That is strange too considering how small our little corner of the forum is, right?? Or am I the only one kind of blown away by that?
Rollercoasterr
Mathew is actually moving to the U.S. It's too cold in Canada for me! And he doesn't have air conditioning in his apartment cause he's a cheap-o! I love teasing him about that. But it really does blow my mind about the wedding dates. Guess we musta had some kind of LDR forum esp going on! :bunny:

But hey - Canada is one of the countries involved and that is rare too, right? C'mon throw me a bone here...LOL In any event it is so exciting. And the two of you have someone to share along the way with about EVERYTHING including the distance. Fun fun fun!

There's a lot of coincidences about it. LDR, Canada, wedding date. What are the odds of that happening? lol. Now if the wedding dresses end up being the same I'll start freaking out a bit. You're right IG, I'm emigrating back to Scotland. Hoping because Canada is part of British Commonwealth, that marriage visas will be somewhat easy (once again...sorry!) Rollerrcoaster...Would PMSL if our dresses ended up the same too!!
