Ajay
To everyone: I've been learning a lot since participating in this forum and having fun too; but now I have a totally non-relationship type question. My question is regarding this forum and the best way to post questions and/or responses. Should responses be posted immediately following the question, folowing the next response to the question, or following a response to a response? Sometimes they go on and on, and I don't know where to begin. I've noticed starting at the top seems to be most effective, but I often have to backtrack to remember what's going on in a particular situation. Other times, when attempting to backtrack, I cannot find what I am looking for -- particularly when trying to locate a question I previously responded to and would like to follow up on. Advice/suggestions/comments? Please...
Tony T
I have the same problem. The best way to reply to the initial post is to scroll down, delete the type in the "Post a New Response" box and type your comments there. When you have something to say about a particular comment, you scroll down from that comment and make your post there since it has to do with that particular post. I think if you are simply posting your own position or advice to a particular question, you should post it directly below the question. If you are commenting on someone's advice or comment, post it below their comment. If you just get lost and you have typed a complete comment and then aren't sure if you're posting it in the right place, copy what you have written with your mouse, then go back to the main screen and just relax. When you decide where you want to post it, go there and paste what you had written. You can use that same strategy if you want to review an original post or other posts before completing your response. I'm sure those that post appreciate your desire to do the best job possible. If others have some better ideas, I hope they post them here because I would love to see them myself. If I have confused you, I hope someone who can write more clearly than I will do a better job of explaining.
billy the kid
Read the question and "think" unless you are Phy. like you know who and already know the answer. way back when some one told me to get a sence of humor... but really just read the question and think.. none of us are really right cuz we're not wearing the other persons shoes.. Tony T
Billy: I'm encouraged that you take your own advice. It's obvious that you gave a tremendous amount of thought before making your post and that's always appreciated. I am also impressed with your incredible sense of humor.
