Pedigree
I'm just curious if there's a correlation with being more physically fit and with being more...for lack of better word...horny? I've lost 35 pounds, gone from l to m, and gone from obese to the cusp between normal and overweight. At the same time it's easier for me to get a boner (a girl with a remotely nice ass and it wakes up) and I've gone from masturbating once every two days to once (sometimes twice) everyday. This is something that never happened to me, not even during puberty. Would this be an effect of me being more fit (and having been a chubby kid most of life, this is the best shape I've ever been in) or is this just what comes (no pun intended) naturally for a 21 year old guy? xpaperxcutx
I think guys are at their peaks in their 20s and 30s. Afterwards, some do start to go downhill. Do you not like being horny?
Author Pedigree
It's more about curiosity rather than like or dislike.
In_Repair
It could, as your diet and exercise routine play a part in everything, but it's more than likely just a mental side effect of you feeling more attractive. Also, if you are exercising and weight training more than before, then you have probably elevated your testosterone level somewhat.
Jaytb
yeah it's possible. I believe your body synthesizes fats due to cortisol and other stress hormones, so usually weight gain that's caused by stress hormones can disrupt sex hormones.
Devil Inside
I think it often happens. I know that after I lift weight or run I am more in the mood. When I am regular with exercise my libido is through the roof...but I am just kind of a horny bastard anyways. I think it also has to do with confidence and feeling better. Also losing weight and increasing fitness increases and improves blood circulation which helps with erections. Good for you.
Trialbyfire
I read somewhere that resistance training such as running, decreases testosterone and strength training, increases serum testosterone. Also, carrying extra weight decreases testosterone production and increases estrogen levels. So...technically, yes, you should be feeling more...energetic...
Green
if what she read was true then maybe you have more testosterone because of your weight loss, thus making you more of a man, and yes more horny. Truthly enjoy your new found hornyness and try not to masterbate so much. If you only masterbate a little then you'll have more energy to find a woman and jzz in her
burning 4 revenge
If you only masterbate a little then you'll have more energy to find a woman and jzz in her Thats exactly what my urologist told me Of course Im beginning to have second thoughts about his professionalism. Especially after I asked him to at least look at it once and he asked me if I thought he was queer
SoulSearch_CO
In short, yes. The reasons explained by TBF are exactly what I have heard (estrogen is stored in fat and can decrease sexual desire). I used to be quite a bit heavier than I am now. Have slimmed down over the past 2 years. But really - in the past 2 months have gone hardcore on the workouts and found the horny problem to be even WORSE. LOL I think it's just your body telling you that you are in prime condition to procreate - very healthy. When I was at my heaviest, yes, I still had the urge now and again, but not as much as I do now. Of course, I have no idea of the correlation to that with the fact that I was in a serious LTR and right now I'm not. In my case, at least, I also think higher body confidence leads to thinking it would be a good idea to get nekkid with someone.
mark982
tbf's dead on. especially about the estrogen levels.
In_Repair
Yep, according to my doctor, that's correct. My testosterone level was sub-300 (300-1200 or so is the "acceptable" range) so my doc put me on Androgel. Because of this, you are only supposed to apply it to the leaner and more muscular parts of your body like the shoulders, chest, upper back, and upper arms. On the Androgel, my level fluctuates between 650 and 800. While my sex drive got more intense after starting the testosterone treatments, I can't say that the frequency of being horny increased. I never had any of the sexual symptoms normally associated with a low T level though. I just went from constantly wanting sex to constantly needing sex.
Author Pedigree
Wow, a flurry of activity. Thanks for all who contributed. Guess this confirms that being more physically fit (especially since I do weights) does make you more horny. Truthly enjoy your new found hornyness and try not to masterbate so much. If you only masterbate a little then you'll have more energy to find a woman and jzz in her Being a single guy, I'll try to adhere to this advice .
Green
plus working out all your horyness with a women gets rid of it so much better then masterbation in my opinion. Good luck with your 35 pound lighter body
donnamaybe
Oh, yeah. Proven fact. Regular exercise increases your libido!
splintered thing
Never noticed any correlation myself, except that I recall noticing that one of the times when I was doing more than 500 miles of biking per week for a while, my interest level seemed to taper off some. But there wasn't anyone around at the time I was particularly interested in, and that seems to make a bigger difference than anything.

I was going to go with nerve suppression from sitting on that spot for so long on a bike seat. It's usually temporary, but I've experienced it. LOL Most I've done in one shot is 42 miles, though - this past Tuesday.
splintered thing
I was going to go with nerve suppression from sitting on that spot for so long on a bike seat. It's usually temporary, but I've experienced it. LOL Most I've done in one shot is 42 miles, though - this past Tuesday. Congrats on the new personal record! Longest single ride I've ever done was just over 190 (though I got off the bike for a break after the first 110 miles). I imagine any nerve compression issues have a lot to do with how you adjust your saddle and your riding position. With the right kind of saddle adjusted to your riding style you can have your weight resting on your hipbones rather than your crotch. (And for some riding styles, you have more weight supported by your arms and feet.) My preference is to have the nose of the saddle not to be bearing weight, but mostly be there to add stability when riding out of the saddle. But, yeah, 500 miles can be exhausting if you're not used to it, but armed with nothing more than obsessive tendencies and more determination than sense, it doesn't take all that long to get used to it. Lauriebell82
Well I think there may some correlation. When you lose weight you: a) have more energy b) feel more attractive c) increased self esteem d) feel more comfortable being nude I feel that it is a lot of cause and effect which makes someone more horny after weight loss.
