monkey00 Posted November 23, 2003 Share Posted November 23, 2003 i screwed up!! let me tell you what happened....this girl happened to call my cell and was looking for someone, but i told her you got the wrong #. yet she had the right # but was looking for someone named Dan, i said sorry no one like that around here...after that, well each other hung up. after hanging up i just realized i screwed up a good chance to knowing someone. she had a really sweet voice and from her voice sounded like a really nice person. i should have at least asked where she's from and tell her she had a sweet voice but i didnt. yes many of you would say just call her back! but i cant, it was a private #. there are times where im such a fool and dont think about these things during a conversation. it happens so often even with girls in person....these flirtatious/complimenting words never come to mind during when we're conversing....after we say bye and leave, only then will these ideas come to mind...then i go damn i should've said this or that. Once a visiting ship came to port and I had a guy call me looking for an old girlfriend of his. I made a joke about meeting him instead. We did and had a great time the whole week he was here. It wasn't a love connection.....but he is still a freind of mine.....and this was 4 years ago. I agree with you in having to be careful though.
