KikiW Posted September 19, 2009 Share Posted September 19, 2009 For anyone mildly interested, here's the latest... My STBex informed me about 3 weeks ago that his girlfriend couldn't find an apartment that would allow her to bring her yorkie, so when he gets her at the end of the month she will be moving right into the house (oh boy that set off about a week and a half of tension and resentment, but it has since been discussed and resolved). Needless to say, I am not really a dog person, and I figured this was my cue that it's time to find my own place. Heck, it's been over a year since we officially separated. So it was a couple of weeks of frantic searches for a place, moving funds around so i can pay for it, etc. I have an apartment about 4 miles away lined up now - sign lease on 22nd, get the keys on the 25th. So my SO is flying up on the 1st of October and staying through the 4th. He's going to help me move in the rest of the large pieces (in the meantime I have smaller boxes I can bring over in a few trips), but the best news is that he has a JOB INTERVIEW the afternoon of the 1st!!! If it goes well, he will have a VERY good job with room for advancement, but also have access to the schools he needs in order to go back for the electrical engineering degree he wants. I am hoping he will be moved here by the end of October I am trying to remain calm - there is a lot of change in a short amount of time and I do not handle change very well sometimes, so I am focusing on small tasks I can accomplish and move on from. My daughter, on the other hand, is REALLY excited about having another room at the apartment, and can't wait to get in there. I am stunned by how well she has handled everything, and I am keeping my eyes open for backlash, but so far she is doing great. Her dad and I keep working together to make sure of that, and I am so thankful that we get along. Gearing up for the move now... wish me luck! Link to post Share on other sites
