Young guy looking for guidence

Alright I'm sorry if this goes a little long it's my first post and I'm trying to give a little background info. basically I'm a 19 y/o college sophomore. I'm a really shy guy when I first meet a girl and it takes me a little while to warm up, because of this I have never had a girlfriend which is something I don't really like to advertise. I do have this one good friend tho, we met when she dated a couple of my friends, and about a week and a half ago she txted me saying that one of her friends wanted my number. Since I have a difficult time meeting new girls I was perfectly fine having my friend give her my number and I took hers. She just got out of 3 month relationship because the guy cheated on her and all the guys she dated seemed to be real dicks, and she admited she always used to look past the good guys but didn't want to anymore. We texted eachother everyday trying to get to know eachother and I thought she seemed like a really cool girl and we have a lot in common. About a week ago her, and my friend came over to watch a football game and I thought it went pretty well (I did get in an accident that wasn't my fault where my tire blew out and the rim bent but I was able to quickly get the spare on and she seemed impressed I knew what to do, apparently her ex did the same once and refused to ask for help and they sat there for 3 hours). We kept texting each other so I assumed she was at least a little interested, and I asked her to get diner and a movie she couldn't on the day I asked, but she suggested Friday, so I assumed again she must be interested because she could of just said no. The next couple of days got a little wierd. Whenever she would start to talk about past relationships I would always focus on her and kinda avoid her questions, again never having a girlfriend not much to brag about. One day she asked me if I was ever in love? I responded nothing that ever was returned because it was the truth, and I asked her the same question. She said once and she used to jump around the house because she was excited everytime before she saw him. Then she said that she found out the guy was kind of excited when he found out she was single, and she wasn't sure of anything anymore. I didn't know what to say so I let the conversation end. Friday came and we went out to her favorite resturant and saw a movie, we met at the resturant because we came from opposite cities and she didn't think I should have to drive all the way there and back. I had a good time and she seemed like she was too. The next morning I texted her to ask her "how r u holdin up?" because her dog got put to sleep that morning and I never got a response, which has never happened before. Now I'm just trying to figure out what it's supposed to mean. Any advice would be greatly appreaciated.
