CarrieT
I have lamented the dating sites issue before, but I am genuinely curious about something. I live in a town redolent with gay men (yep, San Francisco) so I have not had much success finding dates via the sites. However, on these dating sites, every single day I get approached by men who live all over the country -- and sometimes, all over the world. It would never dawn on me to approach a guy I couldn't go and have coffee with after an email or two. Are the pickings so slim everywhere else that they have to trawl outside their own area in hopes of finding a woman that will eventually move to where they live? Or are they just looking for some online salaciousness? I'm sure both answers are true, but I am curious why it seems so prevalent.
ON MY OWN
IMO I think some fill a lonliness void. Anyone???
