What does this mean?

So I've known this girl for a few years, and she's in a few of my classes. She's really cute, intelligent, and has good taste, I talk to her on an almost daily basis, yet everyday, without fail, she tells me she hates me.

She's kind of a conservative girl, doesn't have very many guy friends, if any, has dated one guy in the past (that ended kinda bad for her), and never really flirts with anyone.

I'm just wanting to know whats going on in her head...

She may have the IQ but almost-daily "I hate yous" do not reflect too much emotional intelligence, does it?

Other than "hate", who can tell what is going on in her head? -- confusing you with that guy she used to date? -- lumping in ALL men under the same category as that guy she used to date?

Most important, though, is how are YOU interpreting her words...and why are you allowing yourself to hear that said to you almost daily?

I don't really know what's going on in her head, which is why I posted that here.

As for how I'm interpreting her words, I'm taking as some kind of odd way of flirting, we can hold a conversation, but it never seems to stem anything more than that. Although I did snap at her the other day, and I feel kinda bad about it.

Damn I'm becoming an efficient typist.

After a few years, you must have some clue about her. I don't really know, i can only think back to this nasty girl back in school (wow that was decades ago) who 'hated' everyone just to get an reaction from people.

Can you give an example of a typical conversation where she said she hates you? And does she do this to anyone else? Just a thought.

It's just normal, everyday stuff. And I don't think so...
