Meaplus3
Well , I have come to the conclusion that I just can't afford all the massages I've been getting, so I'm looking into one of those seats you can sit in and it will massage your back. My issue is with my upperback not lower. Now, my question is. Has anyone here used one and if so did it work for you? Also, if you liked it which kind did you buy? Thanks. Lizzie60
are you talking about those seats that plug in the lighter or those wooden 'beads' seats?
Author Meaplus3
are you talking about those seats that plug in the lighter or those wooden 'beads' seats? Not the seats with the wooden beads. It's sort of like a chair so to speak. And I assume you can use it while driving, so it probably would plug into a lighter. I plan to use it while sitting at my desk or even in bed. I'm just not sure which kind to buy? I need one that will focus on massaging my upperback. Mea:)

boldjack
I do a fair massage, but I would expect reciprocity.

JamesM
My wife bought one about five or six years ago. It is a chair that looks like an office chair. It massages your back and neck plus it massages your lower legs and ankles. It is great. When my family comes over, they fight to see who gets to sit in it. I can from experience recommend it. It looks similar to the one pictured at the link. She bought hers locally. I don't know if it is the same brand, but I do know she paid a little less than two grand. And I think thanks to her doctor and her medical needs, she received some insurance benefits for it. There may be a similar one at a less expensive price near where you live. The chair does a good job at massaging the back and squeezing the legs. http://www.ultimatebackstore.com/product-exec/product_id/704/pn/HT-7120_Massage_Chair As for being better than a massage by a human, I doubt it. The human touch cannot be matched. And as for a cost comparison, at say $50 an hour massage, you would get this paid off after 40 massages approx.

The only problem is, if I had one of those I'd probably want to sit in the thing all day. But, I very much appreciate this link. I have a feeling with the number of the massages I've had, this chair would have been long paid for. Mea:)
Star Gazer
You mean the kind of chair you sit in when you get a pedicure? That massages you? I hate those - I always turn off the massage feature. The chair can't really manipulate your muscles, which is what you really need to have a massage do you any good, IMO. I think it's worth it to splurge a lil'. Also, if you have a medical flex account, some will allow you to use the $$ for massages.

But the one I was looking at had these rollers on it. I guess it's suppose to be great to target the rhomboid muscles the ones that seem to flair up and make my back hurt. Also, if you have a medical flex account, some will allow you to use the $$ for massages. Good point. Or I can always flash them my Senior Citzen card. Mea:)
